I've just been looking at the odds, and it's showing that Lomachenko is a big favourite.
I'm getting my money back 4.5 times on a win for the Jackal. In my mind this is absolute bank robbery of a bet. How can Rigondeuax be such a big underdog, when he is proven time and time again.
Vasyl is 29 years old. Rigondeaux is 36. But still.
We're also seeing David Haye being the big favourite against Tony Bellew - Interestingly enough.
What is your thought on these kinds of odds?
This is one fight I wouldn't bet on.
They are both SOOOOO incredibly skilled and talented.
BUT the thing about this fight is the size, and if Rigo's power carys up with him.
If Rigo has no problems in the ring with the size, and if he brings up enough power to keep Loma honest, it's a 50-50 fight that I'd favor Rigondeaux to edge.
If Rigo has problems with their of those aspects, I expect it to be competitive, but decisive for Loma.
So on balance, more things have to play out right for Rigondeaux to win than for Loma to win.
I think it's fair that Loma be the favorite. Even though I'm not sure who I'd pick myself. But from gambling perspective I'd look at Loma beating quality fighters in Walters and Russel and outside of the Salido fight, which was a while ago, he has looked incredible. He is also much younger than Rigo and bigger. So I get him being favored. But for me, Rigo hits harder and is also an A+ talent. Why I might favor Loma is the fact that Rigo has been dropped several times in his fights and is on the wrong side of his 30's (or 40's). Also, his claim to fame is destroying Nonito, who was also absolutely schooled by Vic in their second fight before the KO. So it isn't like Nonito has never been outboxed before. Plus even while winning Rigo was dropped. Walters then took Nonito's soul before Loma raped him. The more I think about it I'm like 60-40 for Loma.
Which makes the odds great for you then. But what a great fight it will be.

I think the odds are expressing the reality of the situation. If Rigo was the same size and age as Lomachenko he may be favored but he's smaller and older. If he pulls this off it would be a win talked about for a long long time.
Still the odds are STACKED against the Jackal. But some of us remember what happened last time, someone thought that he could take out the jackal. The man was left changed. The man ended up living up to his nickname, considering the P4P lists - He was only there for a flash.

Ohh it's you, I remember pushing you around in these forums. Ofcourse you are mad, I wouldn't expect otherwise.
The only thing being pushed is your shyt, pushed in. You're a laughing stock.
You're a idiot the guy is passed 40 and going up a couple weight classes just for a payday Loma will KILL HIM, especially after the crap he talks on twitter.
You really think he's over 40?
born 1980-09-30 / age 37
You're a bonafide retard, the real deal.

So we're definitely believing that something was wrong with David Haye? I must admit, I have missed that, what was wrong with him?

no? i think you are in your boxingscene bubble. he hasnt done anything in 4 and a half years, is moving up 2 weight classes, is pretty old, and is the b-side against an hbo backed fighter. he can still win of course but the odds are stacked against him on every front.
Ther reason he hasn't done anything is because there was no one to do it against. He was avoided. But I agree, the industry needs Lomachenko to win. Looking at the Salido fight, I believe anything can happen.

He injured his ankle in training a few days before the fight. He doesnt even look to be walking right on his way to the ring in the Bellew fight. Then it completely went round 5 or whatever it was
I mean haven't we all have some sort of a backdoor agreement the last 5 years that Rigondeaux is the best and most avoided fighter around his weightclasses. How he becomes such an underdog in any fight is beyond me.

Bellew took six rounds to finish an immobile 36 year old on one leg, theirs a reason he couldn't put him away, he can't punch David Haye can.

Well Rigondeaux has to have the odds stacked against him, for anyone to dare meet him it seems. Both men looks the real deal, but Lomachenko is green and watching him against Salido, he is in trouble come 9th december.
Well he got knocked out of the ring last time he met Bellew and he looked like a frog in the ring.

Rigo is giving up a lot in weight to get this fight, I don't see how Lomachenko is deserving of huge kudos in victory when everything is in your favour, this isn't like Ward moving up to face Kovalev, this is a guy bringing up a considerably smaller man to his weight, everything favours Loma.
As for Haye being favourite, why would he not be ?
