If Thurman does fight Jessie Vargas in a tune up how can yoi be mad at that?

I like the fight. Vargas is going to bring it. He won't win but he's not an easy opponent.

Vargas is no walk in the park for any one at 147. Thurman SHOULD beat him by a wide margin, but I would say it is a good fight for his come back from surgery. Something tells me his next opponent will most likely not be ranked in the top ten.

Man if Thurman does anything less that 12-0 to Vargas it would look bad to him considering past it Bradley literally 12-0 Vargas for 35:48 seconds. He did not 12-0 Vargas quit making stuff up. & Don't forget it was Vargas first fight at ww against arguably the best ww at that time.

He just came off a surgery and Vargas is a nice name to the resume especially coming in as a tune up. He's been out a while injured as well as his last 2 fight being Porter and Gracia, so if he needs a tune up before getting back into it, i'm cool with that. As far as 'tune-ups' go, Vargas is a decent one. I'd expect Thurman to win handedly enough, but Vargas is pretty decent.

Vargas is not a tune up fight.

the man isn't allowed to take a tune up after the injury, this is boxing scene where everything boxers do is wrong and all fighters who win get criticized n only fight bums

A Top 10 Welterweight who is very tough and durable with a great chin and some good boxing skills. He just lacks Power but Vargas won't be easy!

He should be fighting Spence. If Vargas is a tune to get rid of the rust then fight Spence right after Vargas. If he doesn't fight Spence after one tune up then it looks like he has no intention to fight him at all. He is a pro and one comeback fight should be enough.

It's not bad. Vargas is an exchamp. Lower top 10 boxer. For a tune up that's actually decent. If we compare tuneup fights, Vargas is much better than mares and Santa Cruzs tuneups. Wilder wanted to fight the polish dude (warzyk?) For a tuneup and had to settle for Washington, which was an ok fight. So in the spectrum of tune up bouts Thurman vs Vargas ranks rather high. And don't forget he is coming of fights against two top 5 boxers (porter & garcia). Don't see many fighters fighting back to back hard fights. On the other hand I can understand the criticism for his inactivity and frequent injuries.
