I think Cotto would beat Hurd. Hurd is easy to hit and just relies on his power to save him. Trout might have stopped Hurd if he had more power. People forget that Cotto is not a natural 154 pounder or a 160 pound fighter. He only fights at 154 because he doesn't want to drain himself and fight at 147. So he's not a natural 154 pounder but won't fight at 147 because he doesn't wanna drain himself down? So what is, a 150 lb fighter?

Nobody gets to have it both ways including Cotto. If he is drained at 147 then he is a natural Jr middleweight. He can't be both too small for 154 and too big for 147. He made Canelo look average. Hurd is too easy to hit with horrid foot work, and Jermell is just hyped right now because of KO's of average fighters. He got outboxed by Demetrius Hopkins bad. Cotto's naturally a 140, small welter though. So they all have a chance of sleeping him with a shot, but it wouldn't be a compromising beat down win. If Cotto was Mexican, this wouldn't even be a factor though.

He was never even a big welterweight. Btw I think Cotto can beat Lara still but not Charlo or Hurd. Lara is very talented ,but he is a 1-2 fighter who got rattled and dropped by left hooks from Angulo.

Some people get upset if you say anything negative about Cotto. He is good but not that good. He is supposed to be a fearless warrior but he has done more than his share of cherry picking at 154. He defended his title against poor opposition like Mayorga. When he was middleweight champ he said no to GGG but yes to Geale who GGG had already KOed and at a catchweight of 157. He just won a belt at 154 by beating a tough punching bag who Guerrero had defeated. On his career ending fight he only asked welterweights to fight and he is fighting a low ranked welterweight that Vargas already KOed. If Cotto only wants to fight a welterweight for his last fight then he should fight them at 147. I agree that Cotto would lose to Lara, Hurd, Trout and Jermell. Canelo would KO him in a rematch.That's just my opinion since he is retiring and won't be fighting any of them.

He would walk though Cotto and make him quit. If you don't have a strong stamina you're not beating Hurd. Cotto had a tendency of fading late in fights.
