He's a 27 year old boxer that has beat nobody and fights infrequently.... He beat Brook and Kell is a somebody. And he stops guys that other elites dont. No question he should fight more often tho.

Let's just hope he would still want to be active. If this is Gift Garcia he'll already be considering retirement. Peterson or Quillin will most likely retire. So it's not all good for the general sport's well being. It produces inactive fighters.

I don't get why people are hating when other fighters are getting 1mil per fight and don't have the buzz, hype, skill, reputation, or have done the ratings Errol has done. you obviously didn't read or were unable to comprehend my post. probably the latter. he's spending the little money he has left to keep spence happy but long term this is only going to sink him. yes but haymons goal was to control boxing on his terms and make pbc synonymous with boxing like ufc is with mma. if you havent noticed he failed and pbc is nearly non existent on network tv. couple shows a year(unless you count the low budget ones on various unknown networks) hes having to capitulate and work with others which is good but his dreams of having a monopoly over boxing are all but over. hopefully he becomes a good "manager" aka promoter and uses the platforms he has to make good boxing fights from here on out instead of trying to take over boxing. I don't have an issue with that number - seems a fair price to me. I don't have an issue with Spence getting paid that much either as it most likely is coming out of Al's pocket or the remaining PBC dollars. I would be pissed if it was coming from Showtime or something because that means it would eat into their budget to make other good fights... but as far as running a viable business, the number is absolutely insane. It would be smarter to spend money on actually promoting Spence and making him known throughout the country...but Al is extremely dumb when it comes to promoting fighters even though he is brilliant in other ways.
