CONOR MCGREGOR's boxing match is currently still one of the biggest talking points in combat sports. McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, entered the boxing world last month when he took on Floyd Money' Mayweather in a multi-million-pound showdown. The trash-talking Dubliner entered the much-maligned contest having never boxed professionally, a fact which led many to rule out of his chances of pulling off one of the biggest sporting upsets. Well look who's talking.
Manny hasn't scored a KO since he started testing:lol1::lol1:
Dude just lost to Horne:bottle:
lol, of course you had to bring up Manny when your argument makes no sense in to what I was even stating.
I was referring to the fact that Jr. went on the offense in a way he has not done in years.
Manny's offense has still been there in flashes and greatly compared to Jr. We aren't talking about his inability to KO bigger guys in a weight class he doesn't belong.
Floyd never made any adjustments. McGregor beat on him for a few rounds, then changed his style so Floyd could win. It was all in the script. Floyd never "makes adjustments" in any of his fights.
:lol1: This has to be one of the most retarded posts I've ever seen on this site. Bravo dude :lol1:

That "style" was nothing new for Floyd. He's fought southpaws and a couple others that way. He shoots the same punches, but just holds his guard up and is a bit more aggressive vs. southpaws.
To the coach's credit, if he was mainly evaluating Mayweather based on recent fights (Berto, Pacman, Maidana) or fights where his opponents were bigger (DLH, Cotto, Canelo), he probably expected Floyd to fight cautiously.
However one thing many get wrong about Floyd is that he's a "runner". Floyd employs a lot of lateral movement, pulls straight back and ducks a lot. But he knows how to fight in the pocket, fight smart inside and tie up. When he needs to "sell out" a bit to get closer to a southpaw, he'll keep the guard up.
VS Pacman, I think in the opening round, he realized that Pacman was limited in how he could effectively attack Floyd and Floyd didn't want to take chances vs. the smaller fighter who's short and fast punches give him an inside fighting advantage.
Floyd has always said "I find a way to win." He doesn't say "I shut guys out flawlessly with speed and landing 100% of my punches" No, Floyd knows how to pace, accept some lost rounds, take some punches to the body, smother, just touch with some punches and be snappier with other punches, take breather rounds, mix up his attack, make his opponent tire themselves out while staying relaxed etc. in order to win fights vs tough opponents.
His opposition just focuses on the "idea" of Floyd's lack of power, that they forget he is a marathon runner while they're only thinking 100 meter dash. In the end, he gets the W, they spend the rest of their careers talking about how the first 100 meters was "easy, but I don't know what happened after that" or "not as hard as I expected" or "this is it?"...while Floyd says "I found a way to win and now I'm going to enjoy this victory"
Floyd played them all.
I don't know why McGregor didn't hire a proper boxing coach for that fight. Such a bizarre decision to stick with an MMA coach for a boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather.
He gave you enough clues before the fight! Why was this a surprise?
The only thing that surprised me was how non-sharp Mayweather looked. In every fight previous, he's looked sharp. Regardless of how close a contest it's ended up being, he's been pinpoint accurate and deadly sharp with those punches, and timing perfectly with his defense and those counters.
He looked like crap in this fight by comparison.
He is talking like that was some razor sharp Mayweather that Conor fought. I thought Conor fought the worst, slowest sloppiest version of Mayweather I have ever seen. I couldn't believe how bad Mayweather looked. He look like a poor imitation of the real Mayweather and he still beat Conor with ease.
Isn't that crazy though? Mayweather set the bar so high for himself that people couldn't believe how bad he looked although he was 40 years old coming off of a two year retirement.
He definitely retired at the right time.
What adjustments? Floyd did exactly what he said he was going to do. He stood in the middle of the ring and let Conor blow his energy and then walked right through him. The silliness of people things that Floyd was ever in trouble is legit funny.Floyd said for WEEKS before the fight what he was going to do. It just goes to show you how less skilled mma fighters really are. I don't take anything away from them but at the end of the day Boxers are light years ahead of MMA guys.
This goes to show you what a moron this "striking coach is" he really believes Floyd was in trouble baffled had to go to plan b and c. Floyd held high guard waited for you to tire then walked you down rope a doped you kod you landed combos easy no response

Floyd made a adjustment in that fight what he went from not throwing punches to throwing punches
haha exactly!!
I still remember this fool telling Conor after the first round, "It's only gonna get easier!"
The level of delusion at play that night was astounding
Lol shocked at Floyd's ability to adjust?
These lot really went into that fight without an ounce of boxing knowledge. That is arguably Floyd's greatest attribute along with the defence.
