Nelo must have come to terms with fact nobody thought he beat GGG now.
There are probably some people who genuinely think he beat GGG on this earth but its unlikely nelo has met them befoire
Nobody actually thinks Canelo won though. Saying you think he won (to support a childish argument or narrative) doesn't count.
I have no problem with your opinion. Just saying GBP Magazine is not the source to hang your hat on. I would go with ESPN or Boxing News instead.
ESPN has GGG #1.
My feeling is p4p is mythical and really not to be taken seriously. I believe the two best fighters in the world are clearly Crawford and Lomachenko and have felt so for a while but I do get a kick out of the usual suspects "the race warriors" losing their ***** over a mythical ranking and crying all over the internet with their obsession of the man.
There's a reason the IBRO derecognized The Ring as the source for lineages and every respectable writer that voted in their rankings left for TBRB.
I have no problem if a legitimate source had Golovkin #1, but The Ring is not a legitimate source. It is owned by Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions. Imagine if Al Haymon owned The Ring.
You can call the P4P list silly but I don't think it's any more silly than becoming a "world champion" by beating Nilson Julio Tapia or Marco Antonio Rubio. Boxing can be looked at as a big joke if you really want to go that far. The Ring was once the gold standard for boxing. That ended when a promoter purchased the magazine.
Amen to that. Good job I really like watching the fights, cos pretty much everything else about the sport absolutely sucks.
And yeah. I never said that the Ring wasn't corrupt (i chose my words carefully because I think it is) merely that one place up or down in the p4p rankings isn't good evidence of it.
It's just my opinion bro.
GGG won't last long in this position with fighters like Crawford and Lomachenko around.
Wait! is he fighting Loma & Bud at 160?
Usyk not on this list. This list is a joke. Kovalev coming off two losses still on the list. In reality looking at Kovalev's resume it's now worse than GGG's. Rigo, Spence, and Visa Card shouldn't be on this list.
Visa Card is a beast
Which has to mean that Ring Magazine considers GGG the winner vs Canelo or otherwise Canelo's rating wouldn't be No. 6. Funny thing is Oscar is a part owner of Ring Magazine.
... which means that The Ring is going for the rematch... :)
ESPN has ggg as #1P4P as well, ...
... which we already know...

EsSPN has ggg as #1P4P aswell, there goes your argument
The Ring is Golden Boy Promotions' magazine. The unbiased TBRB rankings have Crawford #1 (and rightfully so).
So Ring has GGG #1 and TC #2 and TBRB has 'em the other way round - either way they both have 'em top 2. Given that p4p is about as far from an exact science as you can get don't you think accusations of bias are a bit unwarranted based on this minor difference in opinion?
See what I mean about it being a bit silly to take this sh1t seriously?
There's broad agreement on who the ten or so best fighters in the world are, with minor differences - anyone who genuinely thinks they can tell with exactitude the precise order those guys should come in, is of course entitled to their opinion - myself I think the whole fuckin thing's a pile of subjective garbage.
Danny Jacobs was dropped by Sergio Mora. A guy with a 26% KO rate. He had also been KO'd before.
Everything you listed about Gamboa and Postol happened after Crawford ruined them. They were highly regarded and undefeated going into their Crawford fights.
Gamboa had been dropped before many times and postol was just overrated. Jacobs lost to an undefeated fighter at the top of the mw division not some bum with multiple losses.
Getting dropped dosen't mean much if you come back and ko the guy twice in back to fights. Rigo has been dropped multiple times by guys far worse than mora.
The fact you are still saying gamboa and postol are on the level of jacobs shows you don't know much about the sport.

Yet he stopped Mora twice.
Mora who beat Mosley and Forrest and is no slouch.
Again dude, I never said GGG is the P4P number 1.
I would lean more towards Crawford or Loma/Rigo winner.
But there is no proof or evidence in P4P rankings.
Golovkin beat Danny by 1 pt. and drew Canelo. That just doesn't impress me. I also don't understand how some posters trash competition like Gamboa and Postol but deify Danny Jacobs. It just doesn't make sense to me.
That draw with Canelo was a robbery.
I'm more impressed by Danny than Postol.
But again, it's all fantasy match up.

Jacobs is a much much better fighter than both. Postol just got dropped by a bum and gamboa lost to to a bum. If you can't see the difference it's really sad.
The Ring is Golden Boy Promotions' magazine. The unbiased TBRB rankings have Crawford #1 (and rightfully so).
Rightfully so...
There is no rightfull P4P champ.
It doesn't mean sht because you can't match it in the ring.
IE: how do you know Alvarez is a better P4P fighter than Rigo?
You don't and never will.
It's all about fantasy match up.
Crawford is the best and most dominant champion in boxing IMO.
But in the weakest division.
160 is stronger than 140 with guys like Charlo, Nelo, DJ.
GGG arguably beat both Danny and Nelo so you can make a case for both.
PFP rankings are just opinion and not provable fact. Anybody can rank the top 10 PFP boxers anyway they want and nobody can prove them wrong. I think Ring's PFP rankings are very good without much to complain about. Clearly Ring thinks GGG beat Canelo or they wouldn't have GGG number 1 and Canelo number 6. I agree with them and every pro boxer or boxing trainer I have heard or read an opinion from thinks GGG deserved to win. I might put Rigo and Canelo higher and Kovalev lower but they are all damn good fighters. I didn't see anybody in Ring's top 10 I didn't think belonged in the top 10. Good job, Ring Magazine.
P4P #1 right now is a joke, all these guys have opposition right in their path.
GGG, Canelo, Crawford... all have stuff in their path at their weight division(s).
Rigo and Loma haven't done enough to be in conversation.
