They fought three times.
The first two were excellent displays of skills with two fighters at a very high level. I thought Toney won the first by 2 rounds and the second by 3-4. He had the bigger rounds, whereas Mike was edging his rounds. Seemed when Toney stepped it up he got the better of it.
The third was alright too. McCallum is about 40 and Toney at that stage where he wasn't caring all that much but still enjoyable enough.
Mike McCallum is one of the greatest to ever lace them up. He was past prime in both of the first 2 fights with Toney, and to me, he was clearly the superior fighter.
toney won the first fight, i thought clearly. McCallum won the 2nd match, i thought that could have gone either way
the 3rd fight was just painful to watch
I remember a few months ago some idiot calling Toney "a bum" for losing to "a bum like McCallum".
ps: I think you mean a Matrix fight, Neo vs Agent Smith :D
Hearns vs Benitez, 15 rds, WW
Lara vs Trout
Ali vs Floyd, I-II
Rigo vs Donaire
Ward vs Kovalev, I
Toney vs Iran Barkley, Jirov
Ray Robinson vs Turphin II
Morrales vs Barrera triology.
They fought three times- first fight was a draw and the second was a majority decision for James Toney but Mike McCallum actually won both those fights.
The third fight was at cruiserweight and Mike McCallum lost by UD.
they fought 3 times. you mean the first one? the third one was pretty pointless but the first 2 were really good. great technical skills from both. they both punched each other in the head and body. i'm great at breaking fights down.
