I never understood how guys like GGG and Hagler are known as "warriors" when all they do is camp out at 160 waiting for Welters to get fat.
They are both cowArds and no where near TBE level. They cant even move up 1 fxking class let alone 4. GTFOH
Roberto Duran couldve easily done what GGG and Hagler did and camped out in one weight-class to "look" invincible. But if he did that he would just be a good fighter not a great one!
No he would still be a great fighter. He moved up for $$$$ and weight issues and yes for the challenge. Right now he is considered one if the best lightweights ever. If he stayed there his lightweight legacy would be untouchable.
A fun fact for all the kids out there (and by that I mean the clowns that dksab but pretend to)
In 1987 the year Hagler fought his last fight the WBA officially created a 168 lbs title
In 1988 the WBC officially created a 168 lbs title
In 1988 the WBO was officially created as a boxing organization
Sooooo
The 1 title at 168 Hagler could have fought for was the ibf and frankly Hagler would've killed any of the top guys.
Thus Hagler moving up would mean a 5'9 man would have to move to 175 lbs to fight any notable boxer.
This wasn't the modern era kids where 8 pounds separated a middleweight from the next division up no it was the good ol days that meant a middleweight had to add 15 lbs to move up.
Just to put that into perspective it took Floyd over a decade to add 20 lbs and Manny never came in above 150 ever.
i'm glad you posted this to save me time
Roy Jones Jr. went from 175lbs. to Heavyweight. Bernard Hopkins went from 160lbs. to 175lbs both within a fight... next excuse.
Roy Jones moved up and fought one of the worst hw champs in the history of the sport. Toney and Haye also moved up to fight Ruiz as well. Is that a coincidence? (Toney also fought Holyfield who was old btw)

Yeah if I lose I stay off the site if you lose you get an Alt. I don't bet ever on anything. If I did I would only bet with people I trust. I don't trust you to keep your word.
I don't have alts, and I don't need them....you're just making bs excuses.
I'm not deflecting lol I'm showing the delusional people that there are THREE people that matter in judging a fight...you're not one of them, and the "vast majority" means absolutely sh1t! They don't matter. The official record stands...now I've called out 2 to bet their account and both refused...obviously for the "vast majority", you're not too confident.

No I don't. Anything can happen in a boxing match. A thumb a cut. Anyway your deflecting from the real issue. Golovkin beat Alvarez according to the vast majority of observers. Nice try though..

No deal. One, Canelo could win a rematch. I just find it highly unlikely that Golovkin would retire after one loss, and I don't think he'll duck a Jacobs rematch. Assuming Jacobs really wants one.
Two, I like this site. I'm not the kind of guy who can't show his face on a message board just because my fighter didn't win.
How about this: If Golovkin wins or loses, I'll just call you a faggot. Not if there's another draw though.
I didn't think you'd have the b@lls b1tchboy
Who would like to bet Canelo beats golovkin in a rematch? Loser leaves NSB

So, he still has something to achieve, in other words? No he does not man. His time at the middleweight division is up. He has lost a lot of steam, timing, accuracy and speed on his punches.
In addition, he has lost his hand to eye coordination too. He can see the target but can no longer find it. Which are signs of a body depleted of the necessary minerals, vitamins and nutrients that it needs.
In short he has outgrown the division. His metabolic, pulse and respiratory rates are all slowing down due to his advancing age and the overall years of wear and tear on his body.
Therefore, it would be very wise of him to consider moving up to Super middle at 36 before his skills began to diminish any further. Moreover, I suggest that he should give it to some very strong consideration before attempting to do so before it's too late and he suffers his first loss; Especially by TKO stoppage.
To me that Daniel Jacobs fight may have ruined him to some degree; Particularly at 160 because it appears to have aged him. He had never gone the distance before during his KO string of title defenses and got exposed.
In my judgement, if those two were to ever meet again, I believe that Danny Jacobs would knock him out seriously and for real though and I am not just joking or kidding either.

The recent trend in a few threads of people hating on Hagler as a back hand way of criticizing Golovkin is weird.
Hagler is a legend of the sport. The guy was a bad ass and a top level fighter. Going back in time to try claim Hagler wasn't all that to justify an opinon on a current guy is nuts.
Because he has nothing left to prove at Middleweight outside of tying or surpassing Bernard Hopkins' record for most title defenses at that particular weight class?
So, he still has something to achieve, in other words?
