This is what Oscar was claiming for weeks leading into the fight.
Did it disappoint?
The way they ripped GGG off did tremendous damage to the image of the sport. Everyone is laughing at boxing right now.
Honestly, I had a boner while watching this fight.
From a technical point of view, it was just beautiful to watch, much more beautiful to watch than a AJ vs Klitschko, which was more about drama with a Shakespearean ending (great for the casuals). Don't get me wrong, I loved AJ vs Klitschko but Canelo vs GGG was the best fight of this year and one of the best fight I have ever seen with my own eyes.
I saw two legendary boxers of complete equal skills with two very different style. Now I think GGG won this fight because he has a better cardio than Canelo who gazed out after 2 minutes in each of the last 6 rounds. It was a very close fight though so the draw decision is not too shocking after all.
People are just paying too much attention on that decision instead of just appreciating the masterpiece they witnessed...
Waiting for that rematch like a mad man.
You're too intelligent for this site...We need you to post more!
100% agree too, this was a Great fight to watch. Had enough action for those type of fans and was brilliant to watch for those who like a more technical type of fight.
I loved this fight, want the rematch for May 2018.
Save boxing? Either you're a fan, or not. It's not like boxing is a hard concept, and sport to understand. It's either in your nature to watch 2 guys duking it out, or it's not.
I've been drawn to combat sports since I was a little kid. Just something that interests me, and yes, it did live up the hype for me.
It lived up to what I expected. A clean, competitive boxing match with occasional big shots landing. I've been saying for a while that both guys are too clever to get dragged into a war

Fight was good, but it didnt live up to the hype. No way this tops AJ-Klitschko.
BS score card and a draw hurt it quite a lot. I personally lost a desire for the rematch. Would rather see GGG against Jacobs or Sanders.
THIS INDEED!
Despite who you thought won, that one score card and the draw overshadow what these to men did in that ring.
