If he legitmately wins the fight then yeah it would be a massive win for him.

Benavidez is no joke. He and Zurdo are tough as challenges. As much as I hate to say it, IF Benavidez were on his A GAME - and of course it depends WHEN the fights happens - But Benavidez could get lucky like a Hearns over Duran. However, Nelo being young, as well as Benavidez, it's a very interesting scrap. He, and Ramirez, are lengthy as foook. They could control Nelo at bay with Jabs, and Zurdo is a mover. Jacobs, The Miracle Man is dope for sure, he's repping the Brownville slickster.. but I fear that Nelo is more composed for when to land on Jacobs' chin, and Nelo's speed would be faster than GGGs making it harder for Danny to read... Of course GGG is a Goliath in this bout... Actually, about two weeks I was going to make a thread comparing the frames, weigh ins, of various GGG bouts compared to opponents. Golovkin imo has the biggest FRAME of all middleweights. PURE lean muscle on his back, which is why he can hit hard with speed, think the power of a bird, the muscle is all from the back for slingshot effects. I think GGG hydrates to 175+ all the time, it's just not disclosed or shady stuff goes on behind the scenes. GGG's big. GGG does punch like a slingshot he even throws wide but u gotta have big balls to dare to counter, because even if u do he looks for the dual exchange and usually he wins them. It depends how he wins if he does, but yeah, it will be a massive win. On the flip side, it will be quite a dent in his legacy if he loses. It means he lost against the two guys that were his biggest tests (Floyd and GGG) and especially losing to GGG after people felt he was ducking him for a couple of years, that's not a good look. If he loses, a lot of people will feel he's below that elite level and lacking a really signature win.

Depends on how he wins. A vicious early KO of GGG would send him to legendary status. A decision even if earned would have the haters crying foul.

Depends HOW HE Wins. I've got Nelo beating GGG by KO. Monroe Jr. TOOK ONE for the team on how GGG can not dish it out in the inside. If Canelo comes with his A game, the shots that Monroe was landing on the body rest assured Nelo will land twice as harder if not 3x times harder. Nelo, like his brothers, have grotesquely huge arms, those are like hammers with body shots, imo as equalled to Golovkin. IMO, for Nelo to become Mexico #1 ATG TBE, and rinse out perspective from the Floyd bout, as Marquez too was toyed by Floyd.. Nelo needs to beat these GUYS to be Mexico's #1 ATG, surprising JCC, and be 3 Division Champ. I am Mexican and IMO if Canelo pulls it off tonight we can compare this win to the likes of Jcc vs macho Camacho Sal Sánchez vs Benítez Barrera over Naseem Márquez over Pacquiao (just the win not the rivalry) And tonight could be Alvarez over GGG Agreed ? You mean Gomez? Yeah, it's a top win if he can pull if off.

Would be a great win for him. I'd give him tons of credit and consider him top Middle for sure.
