Do the promoters get money through replays on some networks or why is it that they dont just put all their fights on youtube maybe 2 weeks after they have aired?
I can only see advantages. Their boxers get more exposure, because it is more easy for fans to watch past fights and they also get youtube advertising money. Dont know how much, but earning money is better than not earning money.
I just tried to do some research on some boxers, but couldnt some of the fights, which were broadcasted by ESPN.
But i have no trouble finding obscure thai or japanese fights somehow.
licensing fee is more than what youtube pays.
That's short-sighted. Once the fight's over it should be all about promoting the next one, and having fights available for free on YouTube is a great way to do that and keep up a small revenue stream.
