He was providing the money on the table, therefore his opponents were more than happy with the payday, etc... Solid analysis. :thinking: Added to post: We haven't seen evidence that GGG is soft to the body, so it's hard to see how Canelo would be the first to hurt him to the body. Clearly Canelo has at least some power in his body shots (i.e., Liam Smith). Basically, if Canelo knocks GGG out with a body shot, you should say "I told you so."

Canelo fights very clean; Ward doesn't... on the other hand, GGG is a much more intelligent fighter as compared to Kova... Didn't look all that intelligent vs Jacobs tbh, or against Brook or Stevens. Seems to me like he's a brute in the ring, he literally uses his chin as a guard and his power to turn the tide. He did fight intelligently vs Lemiuex, but Lemiuex has no jab whatsoever. Kovalev fights smarter and has better defense. He has to fight smarter because his chin is weaker than GGG's and he's fighing bigger men.

Well there's no evidence he can't take a body shot. I actually saw Lemieux hit him with a couple of heavy body shots and he didn't seemed phased. On the other hand, i saw Canelo put on queer street by Cotto's brother, saw him back up and retreat to the ropes when Floyd caught him with an uppercut too. You can say it was a long time ago, but at least there's some evidence that he can be hurt when caught clean. There's yet to be any proof GGG can't take it to the body. The truth is, anybody can be hurt with the right body shot if it land in the right spot. Canelo might well be the one dropped by a body shot, who knows.
