TONY BELLEW says a rematch with David Haye could still be on the cards but he's refusing to deal with his old foe. In a thrilling encounter, Bellew stunned the boxing world with a shock 11th round victory over Haye on March 4 this year. The Hayemaker ruptured his Achilles in the sixth round but bravely battled on for a further five. Click Here To Read More]
you still see this attitude from the little british shirelings regarding the garcia fight. "khan looked like the better man for 1.5 rounds. he's just a better fighter. ignore the clean punches that knocked the snot out of his nose and had him wobbling around the ring like a drunkard."
Yep they're like "But if you just took away all those lucky punches that Prescott, Garcia and Canelo landed and he wasn't robbed against Peterson and ducked by Floyd, Khan would be the p4p king right now" If, if if. There's a billion "what if's".

So if Bellew fights Haye does that mean Andre Ward will stay at light heavy and possibly fight Stevenson or Beterbiev??? I think Haye should retire already, and Bellew should target Parker. And Andre should fight Stevenson.
Bellew running his mouth like he is the man when he was getting his ass handed to him by haye. Lucky haye injured himself or bellew would be trying to fight cleverly for Xmas
Haye will always have an excuse no matter what.
Just like Amir "His punches that knocked me out were lucky" Khan.

“He would go to the opening of an envelope. He will go absolutely anywhere," said Bellew who was speaking to celebrate the launch of Papa John's new Deep Crust pizza.
Alex Jones that was brilliant! Papa John's!! And he was was slating Haye for going to the GQ awards?!!
Its another circus fight that gives both another good payday, so why not.
A healthy Haye easily beats Bellew, but what are the chances of a healthy Haye these days ? Shoulders, toes, achilles, and he's older and more worn out than ever before. His style has always been explosive and puts a lot of strain on his tired joints - 50/50 he stays healthy till the end of a rematch.
:lol1::lol1: Kind of bad timing to make that statement.
But yeah, it was no excuse. He went into the ring with an injury, looked shot to shit, yet was still in control of the fight.
When he did his achilles he could hardly stand, he did well to try fight back off the ropes. The whole fight changed there.
It's not Bellew's fault what happened. But it changed the shape of the fight. There was no way he could win the fight after that.
Bet me to it :rofl: Hilarious, i almost wet myself reading that line

It's not an excuse obviously.
That said, a lot of those people saying Bellew got lucky were the same people saying he wouldn't make it out of 2 or 3 rounds. He boxed well at some parts in that fight. Haye looked finished to me though, his timing was way off and he can't seem to extend that shoulder properly anymore, the one he had surgery on.
Let's be real. The injury was no excuse and Hate didn't even mention it in his interview loss whilst congratulating the better man. He did this because he'd know he'd be in $h!t like he was against Klitschko.
However, one things for sure - Bellew couldn't even knockout a one-legged, injured Haye. Haye didn't even react to his punches which just shows you Bellew is not a powerful heavyweight and he's a very average boxer
yes all is right said. second time will see haye loosing once again and becoming the completed comic figure he is supposed to be. he s only goog for bringing the people a few laughs...
Well he should, because it isn't an excuse. Tony Bellew looked second best against a shot-to-pieces David Haye. Up until the injury there was no telling which way it would go. If the injury was there before the opening bell then odds are a fit David Haye would make short work of Bellew. This doesn't need to be PPV, and whatever happens, we don't need a rubbermatch.
