Did GGG ruin brooks career?

PBC fighters ruined Brook's career. If you recall at the time he dismantled Bizier, he knew the backlash was strong for not having fought legit opponents. Thus, Brook was calling out PBC fighters, Danny Garcia, Broner, Thurman, etc. (I'll search Bscene links for you if you're interested.) Nobody responded from Pathetic Boxing Champs. Not one. Spence was calling him out before and after the Algieri fight. Brook called his bluff and he suddenly insisted on fighting his mandatory, which was 41 yr old Bundu. What can Brook do?

He still won some rounds vs spence But i think the spence fight will have taken more out of him mentally because he hasnt got the "i fought the bigger guy" excuse to fall back on I still think hes a very good fighter who i would pick against everyone at 154 except maybe lara by a close margin if hes still campaining at lmw

Yes and no. Brook took a lot of damage in that fight, but the real issue is that Brook took on another fight too soon, against a dangerous fighter, and most importantly, went back down 2 divisions. He should have never fought at 147 again, or at the very least not so soon. He bulked up a LOT for the Golovkin fight, losing all of that muscle mass to get back under 147 was an absolutely idiotic move. If he skipped the Spence fight and took on Cotto at 154 in December, his careeer would still be fine.

He ruined Brooks career the way he ruined Mirko Troll Cop's life.

If you guys remember I was rooting for Brook while I also said GGG would win. I think Glolovkin did a number on Kell and I think Kell's management sent him to the slaughter for money. He is damaged goods now.

I think he did. That orbital eye injury made him a more weary and hesistant fighter. As soon as any trouble flares up with his eye his fear for his sight outweighs his will to win. The titanium plate he had put in didn't help in the least it seems. spence actually broke his orbital bone on the other side of his face. brook's problem was that he was matched with punchers and doesn't have the style to beat them. especially golovkin, who was two weight classes higher and the division's biggest puncher. fighting spence straight away was truly dumb. blame the kid's management. i'm sure he made money, but FFS the khan fight was there, along with other six-seven figure tune ups. and spence isnt' going anywhere. that fight could have been made in 2018 and made him just as much money.

Possible, although i still think Brook as something left in the tank to offer. He got a good pay day i assume, and i credit him for stepping up and taking the fight. But in hindsight it was maybe a mistake. I'm a big Brook fan but i was a little shocked at the time how people were referring to it as a real competitive fight and some blueprint fight. Golovkin had no respect for Brook and walked him down, he shipped unnecessary shots doing so, and Brook looked good at times, but it was only going one way that fight. GGG beat him up and the corner stoppage was the correct thing to do. It definitely took something out of him long term. ... Me too i used to like Brook a lot... He wanted a big money fight, but he made a really bad career choice...
