Was watching the youtube clip about Khan getting knocked out by Breidis Prescott and the comments are brutal. Funny as **** though.
"And they call him king khan more like king canvas".
"Bambi on ice".
"Amir "Glass Chin" Khanvas".
I thought it was pretty funny when mayorga slapped Shane Mosley gf booty. Classless for sure, but funny anyhow
that whole thing was set up though Mayorga admitted Mosley told him to do that to build up the fight.
I can't remember the exact statements but Bernstein and Ranallo was getting excited and going on about McGregor landing a lot of punches on Mayweather and Paulie says something to the effect, "He landing jabs..." It kinda took the air out their argument that McGregor was doing great and made everyone in the room laugh.
I brought up the Mayweather-McGregor fight with some non-boxing fans..
"Mcgregor is going to be the first white boxing champ in modern history"
"Right. If had more time and practice for sure he could beat mayweather"
"there hasn't been a white boxing champ in over 100 years. McGregor will become the first. Rocky Marciano was Italian so he doesn't count"
"Joe louis was the only major boxing champ i think that was white. Think he was during the time after mahamad ali but could be wrong"
"Pacquaio possibly the greatest defense game in boxing. One of the very few that almost never used the clinch right?"
Outside a bar in La Paz just after May-McGregor was on, I heard an English guy say, "the ref should have let it continue so they could have gone on to have a draw - that would've been a fair result."
Not sure he really grasped the concept of scoring rounds or how stoppages work in boxing. Or how boxing works in general.
A commentator once asked Marvin Hagler what he knew about his upcoming opponent. Hagler replied "Well, I know he's in trouble on Saturday night"
Love seeing the greats from the past talk trash. They had so much more confidence and backed it up.
