A short guy can be a striker but he needs to have good blocking abilities able to slip and dodge which hardly any MMA fighters do . But short guys in MMA need to be excellent wrestlers and submission artist to be successful . Shoulder roll also won't work in MMA due to the fact you turn your body which leaves you open for a take down. Thats why I said good blocking and dodging to avoid kicks from the longer limb fighters. Trust me I sparred tall guys before in Karate Sparring and thats what I had to do. It was easy due to the fact I boxed for 6 years so I was a White belt beating on higher level fighter up to Red belts the instructor did not put me in there with black belts because he knew I would embarrass them
Of cause, im not a fighter you retard
i see only one retard here and that's you, no one with an iq over 10 would create a pointless thread like this one :D
what an idiotic remark. a stocky build strikers found more success in mma with their take and pound tactic.
and your statement are more suited for boxing. a striker in mma are equal category with boxing's out-boxer, and height-reach advantage are usually the two most distinctive features found in great out-boxer. ex: muhammad ali, tommy hearns
Then someone should explain all of the loses that Nate Diaz has (he's tall af in the 155lbs. division) or explain how Georges St. Pierre who has beat tons of people taller than him. Or how about the heavyweight Stefan Struve who is 7'0" and has 8 loses to all people shorter than him?
Cause they're all bum
