Plenty with a bit of training. A WWE wrestler become their heavyweight champ with just some experience in actual wrestling in his school days, so there's no reason a pro boxer couldn't succeed. The standard of talent in the UFC just isn't that high.

Ive watched mma and i realized that boxer like cotto canelo pacquiao will never be a good striker in mma Its impossible that short guys to be a good puncher in octagon cause the distance between fighters is too long. Its Almost 1 step or 2 step further compared to boxing. And mma glove you cant guard yourself like boxing.and Even if you catched opponents, it would be most likely wrestling time. You gotta be tall and have long reach to be boxer in mma imo height and reach are way bigger factor in mma than boxing

Loma. He's got experience with other forms of combat from my understanding. I know he's won sambo tournaments as a kid. I think he'd represent himself well. Loma vs Cody No Love in 2018!!! I think Joshua with some takedown defense & kicking learned would do well. The HW game in the UFC has very few guys who do ground sh^t in comparison to most other divisions. You could get by there with less experience with BJJ & wrestling. Lomachenco was a Greco Roman wrestler wasn't he?

I would say Algieri comes closest to having crossover skills given his kickboxing background. Ward is pretty good at wrestling and delivering elbows during fights, and I might nominate Porter who can probably learn to mix it up in the octagon.

Has Berto actually competed in any other fighting styles? I've been seeing Berto talking about MMA lately & some people jumping on it, but does he actually have experience outside the boxing ring? I got a cousin who's a doctor, but you wouldn't want me to take out your appendix. yeah, but boxing and mma is in some way connected. My brother does Muay thai and for me it was natural to get some insight into the mechanics of boxing, same as my brother who wants to add some boxing skills into his game. Im rather sure, that Andre Berto at least knows the basics and some more.

In saying that lets be real conor started boxing at age 12 till he was 15 before turning over to mma. He then turned pro at 18 in mma. He has training in jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, capoeira, karate etc. He has been using those boxing skills also to win most of his fights( granted his boxing skills are nowhere even close to world class level at all.) Now how fair would it be to throw a soon to be 41 year old with no training in anything else but straight boxing inside of the octagon?

I don't think we've even seen all the tricks up his sleeve, but the footwork/speed alone would cause most fighters problems IMO.
