Let's be honest- Jacobs was the first decent guy GGG fought in his career, and GGG lost that fight by 1-2 rounds. The later rounds were embarrassing for GGG.
Jacobs showed us what GGG's upper limit is. He showed that GGG is not super man. He showed that when a good fighter actually punches back, GGG doesn't like it and looks ordinary.
Canelo is an elite p4p fighter, and is far better than Jacobs. He is going to embarrass GGG, possibly KO him.
It was a closer fight than people expected, but that's about it.
Gennady clearly won that. He outboxed, outlanded, dropped down Jacobs. You can hardly make an argument for Jacobs winning more than 4-5 rounds.
+ I believe Jacobs gave it all he could. He almost collapsed at the end of the fight. He simply isn't good enough to beat GGG.
Great post, totally agree with every point you made here.

I hate the word "exposed". It gets thrown around way too often. Exposed to me means anyone can do it and it will work. Maidana exposed Broner for his poor output and stamina, so now EVERYONE just throws a ton of punches at Broner and it will be a close fight at the very least.
Jacobs used in and out movement and his athletic ability to present a varied attack and plenty of angles. Andre Ward might be the only one from 160-175 that can fight that way. I'm not saying GGG can't be beat, because he can be beat, but not many can implement the gameplan that Danny Jacobs did against him.
GGG wasnt exposed at all. Jacobs was a fcking giant 100% lean muscles and still got dropped. The right guy won that fight and I can't see how you can score for Jacobs.
Btw I think that Jacobs can beat Canelo. Jacobs is bigger and has better movement. Speed and power are about the same, but maybe even in those Jacobs is better than Canelo considering he fights at mw.
OP, please list the 7 rounds won by Jacobs. If you can't do that then one of your arguments fails immediately.
Re: being exposed. The bigger, faster, and supposedly more skilled fighter operated off his back foot for 90% of the fight. GGG couldn't get the KO because Jacobs fought to survive. Remember Danny collapsing against the ropes (or onto the canvas) at the final bell with this massive expression of relief on his face? That's not indicative of a guy who just exposed another fighter IMO.
THIS RIGHT HERE! Body language was of a guy happy to have made it to the final bell. Not a guy who thought he won.
Exposed is what maidana did to broner. Jacobs fought a close fight with golovkin and troubled him by using alot of movement and being big.
basics! GGG was in no way, exposed.
Exposed how? Golovkin won a close fight and put Jacobs down.
Tell me a fighter in history that kept knocking guys out when they stepped up in levels and fought good competition?
The fact is that when you fight the other good fighters out there, you can't stop them all. If Golovkin was exposed simply because he won a decision v Jacobs, then every all time great and HOF fighter was exposed every time they didn't stop their opponent or win by a shutout.
Ridiculous.
People need to stop with this whole "exposed" sh1t. Just because you have a close fight doesn't mean you are exposed. Even if you lose to another good fighter it doesn't mean you're exposed either.
It's this kind of attitude from fans that rub off on the game and make fighters and promoters reluctant to make good fights because boxing fans are so unforgiving over a loss or if a fighter doesn't dominate.

Imagine this. GGG and Jacobs performances were reversed (Jacobs Knocks Golovkin down in the 4th, brings the fight and outlands Golovkin in most rounds)
Can you IMAGINE the chaos around here if that had happened?! My God, you'd all be screaming robbery/exposed a hell of a lot more than you currently are doing.
GGG won a close fight. Happens to all fighters, namely Canelo.
If that's the case then Castillo, maidana and Connor all exposed Floyd oh and cotto too. Your post is laughable. So he fights a legit MW who is faster than him and has pop and he didn't win every round and now he is exposed? What a fawk tard you are
Da fawk does Floyd have to do with this thread? Keep ur gay fantasies to yourself bud.

Jacobs was regarded the p4p best amateur fighter in the US by many when he turned pro. He hardly lost a round in professional boxing up to the GGG fight. Just because he lost to an extraordinary talented fighter in Pirog doesn't mean he's a bum. He is a terrific fighter with bad management. With his story, he should be one of boxing's stars already. At the end of the day, Golovkin beat him close but clear. He put Jacobs down, landed more punches and was in control most of the rounds. Can't see how he got exposed. If anything Jacobs showed his own class in that fight.
He was actually way ahead on the scorecards in the Pirog fight.
ggg was badly exposed by a guy that doesn't even rank in the top 50 boxers. Seriously, does anyone actually rank Jacobs that high?
Jacobs isn't even as accomplished as a guy like Groves, just 1 division north Degale, Jack, even Anthony Dirrell have accomplished more than this guy.
I really don't get the logic, how can a "P4P" fighter like ggg go life and death with a guy NOWHERE near p4p status?
Exposed is way over the line, GGG is a hell of a fighter and Jacobs gave him some trouble doesn't mean he was exposed just means he is not going to blow every body out.
I don't understand why there has to be all of this negative stuff in here all the time, this forum runs on hate I don't get it I really dont, we have a great fight coming up with Canelo vs GGG we should be all happy.

Floyd takes Pac to school:
GGGtards: "You can't win a fight with just a jab. Floyd had a good jab and that's all."
Jacobs outboxes GGG
"That Jab though. Did you see GGG's jab. GGG won the fight coz of his brilliant jab."
Lol, you can't make this shieeet up.
You know how stupid you sound trying to be funny tell your lame asss jokes to yourself so you can laugh at yourself. The jab is the best punch in boxing period got it comedian. Go away now.
