Who would be better on your side?
Tough to say, If boxercan can maintain distance, probably better.
Once brought to the ground, or put in stand up judo lock/clinch
Why is everyone talking about tactics? This is a (very dangerous LOL) street fight right, so its no rules. So just go for your opponents eyes first and foremost. GOUGE, GOUGE AND GOUGE AGAIN. Dont care if its tyson, mcgregor or mayweather, not much the fcuker can do if he cant see you is there!
And yet, Mcgregor knocked out Aldo in less than 13 seconds with one single punch... And we all know now that Mcgregor is not even a decent boxer, that tells a lot.
Bring your best MMA fighter against a guy like Mike Tyson, pound for pound, the MMA fighter doesn't even have a chance.. Boxers are by far the best street fighters and anyone who has been involved in a street fight knows that boxing is the most valuable asset on the street.
The last thing you want to do is grab your opponent even if you are great at it, cause if the guy is a good boxer, you are dead as soon as you enter his reach, plain and simple.
In a street fight, the golden rule is to always keep a safe distance while throwing punches.

Street fights are generally fights of opportunity. So basically whoever gets off first generally wins.
MMA used to be ran by the wrestlers until the strikers learned basic takedown defense. Now the strikers are generally just as dangerous as the wrestlers and most of them aren't worldclass strikers to began with.
If two guys of similiar size battle it will be 50/50. Whoever lands a clean punch or takedown first. Kicks are nullified as a stable factor as you have to be in a suitable environment to pull them off i.e. Enough space, semi level ground. And leg kicks are mostly painful distractions not real weapons.
Just like MMA street fights are less predictable, even the best of MMA fighters go on strings of losses from time to time. Boxing is more mental.
1v1 I'll bet on the mma guy easy, taking a boxer down is so easy because they don't know how to defend against a take down. Once on the ground, the boxer becomes a fish out of water, MMA guy can easily snap his arm with a joint lock.
If it's a street fight involving a bunch of guys, I'll take the boxer, or better yet a Muy Thai/kickboxer. You want to keep the fight standing and knock guys out asap. If the mma guy takes it to the ground, he's wide open to being soccer kicked by anyone.
Dude, you just said everything I just said. Holy Jesus. You just typed for both of us.
In a one on one fight, MMA has the advantage. If multiple people are involved, I'll take boxers. In a TEAM fight there is no grappling. I've seen it many times with my own eyes. Team A gets Team B in a choke hold on the ground, then Team B's teammate stomps Team A in the face. In a fight with multiple individuals it's better to end a fight as quickly as possible. Knowing how to throw a fight ending Straight or hook in one blow is necessary, ESPECIALLY if you're involved in a handicap that's not in your favor.
If it's one vs two or two vs three, there's no time for wrestling. You gotta get guys outta there as quickly as you can.

HEHE good point, I think the idea would be more to do Daniel Cromier, Stipe Miocic type body slams, (not shoot takedowns) ONto the concrete.
And when standing grapple using judo
On a serious note. I think its a case of who lands first or rather who gets to who first. Wrestler vs Boxer is apples and oranges, either guy has to know how to go about evading what the other guy might do. But on the street I'd want someone like Manny Paquiao with me rather than someone like Floyd. Someone with mobility and power.
Conor should thank his lucky stars he had a referee to come in and save his life. Had this been a street fight McGregor would have been too timid to engage and most likely tries to run away.
I doubt it. I think conner would leg kick floyd, possible head kick, grapple, take him to the ground, and pound his face in.
A lot quicker and easier than the way floyd did it to him
Yeah, but how would a boxer react to a guy clinching and elbowing him?????
Mma guy has to take a chance and get close to even clinch but he will have to take a swift combo on his way in.
But majority of the fights start with a punch so whoever lands first has the upperhand.

While MMGay guy goes down for the take down and goes for the dry hump, boxer guy ends his life with a kick to the back of his head. You get up and all of a sudden you have numbers on your side. Likewise the other MMA fighter is still dumb enough to try and wrestle while he's outnumbered. He dies too. Victory Boxers and they wouldn't even need to throw a punch.

MMA, by far.
I tend to agree, not because of wrestling, but because of judo and ju jistu.
Those practices teach you to grab and lock your opponent, while striking simultaneously. I will say, a lot of good offensive boxers are stained to be able to unlock from clinch and create distance to strike.
I think boxer would be very thrown off by judo/ju jistu type holds, even standing.
The wrestling ground and pound is obvious and prob the MMA guys biggest asset
