Is saying McGregor has a chance the same as saying Floyd has a chance in the octagon?

Boxing has fewer ways to end a fight so it stands to reason that a novice boxer would last longer in the ring than a novice mixed martial artist would last in the octagon On the other hand, I guess it is true that there is one aspect of MMA in which Mayweather would have an advantage over McGregor, i.e. punching, whereas there is no aspect of boxing in which McGregor has the advantage over Floyd

A 28 year old mayweather vs a smaller, formerly retired 40 year old mma fighter with a tendency for standup doesnt seem too bad.
