Fook the alphabet organisations. I read an article in Boxing News which helped me see the light. He is above titles now and at least top 3 pound for pound. A win against Keith Thurman puts him at #1 in my opinion.
If he can make 140 comfortably, Crawford doesn't have to move up. The problem is that 140 isn't really a strong division. Anyone that's elite like him could of done the same thing. If he moves up, he wouldn't be as dominant with the night and day difference in competition between 140 and 147.
I said the same thing

So, you basically want him to duck 147 and stay a weight bully?
I'm being realistic about what is actually likely to happen. The WBC/WBA/IBF champions and most of the top contenders at 147lbs are 1) over with Haymon and 2) have no incentive to bend to the whims of Bob Arum.
By sticking at 140lbs with all of the belts, Top Rank becomes the flashpoint for every fight to be made, easing the process to actually make the fights.
Outside of Mikey Garcia (who has basically mainlined a deal with Showtime), there's not a fight that can't be made, on terms that Top Rank wants, at 140lbs.
Pacquiao can fight him at 140lbs, but keep to reality.
one more fight at 140 then move up

I'd say the two of them are a level above everyone else around those weights!
Idc. Size, athleticism, power, and strength matter. You make it seem as if Crawford is some Pernell or Floyd when it comes to defense. He is there to be hit and he will get stopped if/when he fights Spence
Terence Crawford isn't on the money yet, and he's in a spot where anyone with anything to do at 140lbs would have to see him and Top Rank.
Lipinets isn't a cakewalk fight, but he gets through that and he's basically sitting pretty at the weight for the foreseeable future.
As long as he keeps getting the opportunities (the pricing strata in Nebraska likely tops out at $250-$25, but Top Rank should be looking at outdoor venues for him in Nebraska when possible), Crawford will get to the money on his own.
Lipinets next, but then Regis Prograis, the Jack Catteral/Tyrone Nurse winner, Adrien Broner, Josh Taylor in the UK (Eddie Hearn has Sky Box Office to dangle), and Omar Figueroa Jr, are all options for him and mostly big fights. Add that the Mikey Garcia fight is something that Showtime likely goes to the mats for, and you've got the makings of a good long run at 140 if Crawford sticks to the weight.
You go to 147 and all the leverage goes away.

What makes him at least top 3 p4p? Beating Gamboa and postol? Seems like all it takes to b p4p these days is to have an undefeated record.
