Would you take the fight if you were in there shoes?? Money money kerching
I would if I was Conor.
The fight for him is literally 'here's $80 million'
For Floyd it is here's even more money but you have to exploit people
Yes a fight that will have a big say on people's perception of boxing . Particularly with casual fans who will think ufc is better than boxing. Love or hate them casual fans bring money into boxing.
Dude, any fool who has boxed for 4 months will kick Conor's arse, this is not a fight, this is a farce!
I am a Conor McGregor fan but still want him to lose, and lose resoundingly on Saturday by stoppage.
At the same time I am annoyed with Mayweather for giving us this terrible fight. It's a disservice to boxing. As a fan of the sport of boxing you can't be pleased with this.
Fair enough to McGregor. I don't really see the thought process between him taking this fight and any one of us. Obviously he has the profile to make the dream come true but your average man, actually even woman, would fight Floyd for a $1 million never mind whatever Conor is getting.
But..........the one good thing to come out of it would be a definitive full stop to these kinds of bouts in the future. In which an elite MMA guy will hop into boxing into a megafight queue-jumping viable contenders in his boxing debut. It is just ridiculous.
As boxing fans we get involved and spend time and money in knowing the narrative of contenders and potential match-ups that can be made so to have someone who isn't even a boxer steal a march on them is rubbish.
I personally wish Floyd didn't come back. I can't see any real upside for boxing. Unless he's going to plough money earned into his promotional company or something

No no no, total disrespect to the sport by fooling the casuals into buying this circus sideshow, making them believe this circus is the most anticipated fight of the century, when in reality it's a farce. All smoke and mirrors to make themselves rich.
Boxing's biggest con job is about to happen.
Bet you will watch the fight?? Who is being conned?? Everyone knows the record of both fighters.
Bamboo Jack, the British guy and Tahiti aren't worth paying $100 USD for.
Take your Fl0Mo glasses off, it's nauseating. Floyd will NEVER be in an entertaining fight.
12 rounds of pitter-patting, hugging and running his way to a win. Just like his 49 other fights.
This is what I mean about casual fans. Total disrespect for a legend of the fight game. You don't have to like someone to admire there ring craft.
I am!! Taking solo trip to see Cotto live!
Before the fight though want to watch some undercard action on Fox at a bar or somewhere but it shows Preseason football on schedule so a bit confused
Can't believe people on here want Conor to win. I'm a big mayweather fan. But I would support any boxer against an mma fighter.
It's just because it's Floyd man...hes ruined so many lives, they just can't cope and have to resort to assuming a guy with zero pro experience can actually win.... their world will soon be crushed yet again soon.
I am praying with all my heart for a KO win for Mayweather. I like Conor but I am more a boxing fan than an MMA fan. I don't want a UFC champion who has never had a boxing match to beat a great boxer like Mayweather. It would make boxing look bad and the MMA fans would gloat and laugh at boxing. But in reality it doesn't matter who I root for, the better fighter that night will win. I am sure that will be Mayweather. I think he is vastly superior to Conor under boxing rules. As for rooters Conor has the whole country of Ireland rooting for him and all the MMA fans as well. I think lots more people will be rooting for Conor than for Mayweather. Conor is extremely popular and there are more MMA fans than boxing fans. My Albuquerque newspaper hardly covers boxing at all but they give the UFC fights much coverage.
Support Boxing?
Is there a real fight on Saturday?
I am supporting boxing this weekend by watching fights on HBO and FOX. Not that ppv doe.

McGregor isn't just 'an MMA fighter' so the notion that people have to support Mayweather doesn't sit well with me.
Connor McGregor is one hell of a personality so if he does manage to beat Mayweather and potentially continue boxing then boxing profits. An i'd say the likelihood of McGregor boxing again if he does win will be pretty high...
