The Democrats created the KKK, held slaves and were opposed to Civil Rights. Who did you vote for this past election?
I keep seeing you promoting this and yes, some of it is true but many Republicans also held slaves and were anti civil rights. So what point are you trying to make?
I like Kovalev but I don't really think it's smart of him to talk trash about twitter, especially since Conor is a joke in boxing and is much smaller than Kovalev. Also, Kovalev used to act like McGregor's fan and took pictures with him.
Kovalev should focus on getting back in the ring and winning a fight. His loss against Ward made him look pretty bad, he is in no position to talk **** right now.
hmm you never heard of the southern strategy? thats surely more relevant to current politics. many republicans have admitted and obviously so that it was a racist strategy to appeal to white voters who were upset over the passage of civil rights. so all the people who hated inequality essentially switched parties because the republicans were the ones who promised racist policies that favored them while blaming the countries problems on the "others" for example republican chairman atwater said this about the strategy...
Atwater: You start out in 1954 by saying, "n-word, n-word,n-word." By 1968 you can't say "n-word" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is blacks get hurt worse than whites.
Mathed knows all this he is just preying on the ignorant.

America in general was racist. Don't act like you dont know the Democratic and Republican parties switched on the political paradigm due to civil rights in the 60's. A question you should ask yourself is, who was the conservative party and progressive party during slavery, and the reconstruction era/creation of the KKK?

Anyway this is a boxing forum not a political debate.
Or maybe he told you. No thank you, I will ask Ward.— Guillermo Rigondeaux (@RigoElChacal305) August 22, 2017

Founded in 1866, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for blacks. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and black Republican leaders. Though Congress passed legislation designed to curb Klan terrorism, the organization saw its primary goal–the reestablishment of white supremacy–fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the 1870s.
