Crawford in my book. But I'm interested to see who's willing to discredit him and give GGG more praiseand the reasons why.
Don't get me wrong, both are awesome fighters. But both were in equally hollow divisions, one spoke about unifying his division for years and the other man got the job done quickly.
So who are you down with and why?
Right now, GGG because he's putting all those titles on the line v another P4P fighter in Canelo. Other than that, it's pretty similar. Crawford might have moved up but let's not act like he wasn't a weight bully at 135 anyway.
Crawford has done very well cleaning out the division too and deserves credit, but none of the opposition have been spectacular like GGG's but let's see how he defends them as a champion.
yeah thats because him keeping the belt means he has to give GGG 45 percent, GGG doesnt even deserve 20 percent. MORON, learn the sport, stupid DUCKING boy.
Ok you just answered to seperate posts with Ducking Boy. Not very creative.
Crawford went up in weight and fought and defeated someone who his detractors were hyping up as a guy he's afraid of.
/thread.
Crawford is bigger than everyone at 140 except Postal. Not as if him not being able to make 135 anymore and moving up is a huge accomplishment. Honestly, Broner has made much bigg leaps fighting at 147 against real guys like Porter and Maidana.
Crawford is the man but he's still beaten nobody that good except Gamboa who was always a chinny little midget and he fought way outside where he should have been
This thread is hilarious. People sh1tting on GGG because the other "champions" at 160 wouldn't fight him so he didn't get all the titles. Meanwhile Crawford, who's a great fighter has fought some scrubs who somehow had titles like Indongo and he's somehow more accomplished then GGG. Lemieux and Jacobs are as good as anyone Crawfrod has fought excluding Gamboa who was a tiny little MF'er the same as Brook was against GGG and GGG gets zero credit for that fight. Crawford was getting lit up the same as GGG was vs Brook to boot.
It takes 2 to make a fight. You can't put someone's resume down because the queers on the other side won't fight the guy. Haven't seen anyone running from Crawford honestly, everyone has seemed eager to sign to fight him for some reason.
Golovkin by a no brainer. The statement "but both were in equally hollow divisions, one spoke about unifying his division for years and the other man got the job done quickly." is wrong on so many levels. Just because people called 160 and 140 "weak" divisions doesn't mean they were 'equally hollow'. 140 is REALLY bad. You wont be able to recognize 4 guys without going to boxrec. You can easily name 10-15 fighters at 160. Golovkin's opposition has been stiffer, the fighters have been better, and he's been the smaller guy majority of the time.
Golovkin spoke about unifying for a long time, but there were many roadblocks in his way. For one, nobody wanted to fight him for a long time, not without a significant financial reward. You can trace it back to Peter Quillin talking about 'May-Pac money, 5-10 mill'. To further add to this, Crawford got the unification fights for cheap. 1m for unification fight? BJS wanted 3-5m, JAcobs got 3m and Lemieux got 1.5m.
Trying to pretend theyre same situations is laughable.

You are insinuating GGG didn't unify because he was not serious about it when we know WBO champs have ducked him openly and two WBC champs did the same in a period of only a few months.
Bottom line is, both uys are upper echelon in terms of the sport. GGGs win over Canelo solidified his place as the best mw since Martinez, if he isnt already. It also bookends one of the best mw runs this century.
TC is already the best 140 pounder in a weak division but both guys have dealt with top opposition pretty easily and looked levels above. I have TC ranked above p4p but GGG could over take that in a month. Either way its irrelevant because both guys are THE champs in their divisions which is more important imo.
Crawford has won LINEAL titles in TWO divisions.
How many LINEAL titles has Broner won? Ricky Burns? Bumnnady Bumlovkin?

Crawford is 6 years younger.
Based on this logic, Adrien Broner trumps them both... he is what a 4 division champ and younger than both of them.
That being said TC and GGG have similar resumes, TC has better accomplishments though being unified.
Will find out more in 3-4 years but up to now I'd give the edge to Bud as I think he's just the better fighter which is my separator when theirs two consistent, dominant, excellent fighters to compare.
Both are doing great. I think Crawford has looked as good as any fighter in recent years in his last 3-4 fights IMO given the dominance and versatility shown and the fact Indongo, Diaz, Postol were good fighters with good credentials coming in.
It's really pathetic to see both guys get ridiculed and discredited so much on a regular basis given how good they have been.
Crawford's done more, but I don't think we should overlook that Golovkin has been pretty consistent for a long time. The guy is either being overhyped or completely panned for some reason.
1. I don't agree Gamboa is better especially looking at his last two fights.
2. I don't agree with Postol being better than Lemieux, they're about what and what. Jacobs is clearly better.
3. Indongo is trash and I said it before the fight was announced and the worse champion either of the two has fought. Guy couldn't box
It's going to be hard for Golovkin to fight a unified champion seeing that he has 3/4 belts.
Both Golovkin and Crawford are world class fighters.
Ignorance. Lemieux was knocked out by Marco Antonio Rubio lol. But I guess your head was in Golovkin's ass at the time.
if danny garcia fought crawfords opposition he would be undefeated and we'd be talking about him as a superstar of the sport. any of the top welters would have smashed that jr welterweight line up to pieces, people like indongo wouldnt even be a top 20 welterweight. not directing this at OP, just some of the comment ive seen since the fight, some of you are so desperate for him to get praised, its pathetic, you should be more desperate for him to fight spence or thurman. its only 7 pounds for christ sake. and before you start whining about ggg, theres been no killers at 168 for a long long time, hes had nowhere to go. crawford got a loaded division 7 pounds from him and hes been scared to make the jump. can keep saying 'oh well indongo was top 2, molina top 3' hell if i got in training camp i might make top 10 in that division its that ****ing ****. and as for his lightweight acheivements? OH MY GOD HE BEAT RICKY BURNS!!!! WOW. how ****ing amazing, who hasnt beaten (or deserved to beat) ricky burns lol. broner looked like a million dollars when he was fighting in that garbage division a few years back. ive seen him in the ring with one guy who i would say had world level talent who was half the size of him, and he was getting lit up in the first few rounds. hes proving nothing by staying in the **** divisions and it shows, hes got no fanbase and noones talking about him, you dont have to be a hardcore fan to know his opposition is trash, indongo looked like he'd been swigging some rum in the dressing room, uncoordinated and swinging wildly, was 1/20 underdog for a reason. i said he was trash from round 1 against burns, looked like he was gonna fall over his feet at times in that fight. you tell me ggg's opposition is trash, you all love the eye test so much though, so lets do the eye test comparing indongo to someone like daniel jacobs.
There is no way of proving that which makes it a meaningless statement. Garcia avoided Postol and doesn't get a "he could have beaten him" pass for it.

Both are amazing fighters who deserve respect. Both have accomplished a lot in the ring. As far as overall body of work, I think their resumes are a wash, though I would give TC the best win in Gamboa. Really the one thing that is going to seperate the two for me is TC becoming undisputed. That is absolutely huge imo. Don't really care what people think of the division or the reasons why GGG could'nt get that fourth strap. Fact is TC did it.
I don't really care. Both are active fighters. I'd rather shift my dislike over fighters acting like guests who only fight whenever they feel like it or need money.
