Ri-GOD is the most feared badass man on the planet while Loma is a protected Euro hypejob.
Ri-GOD actually beat prime Donaire, Loma has been fed inactive or shot fighters.
When the 2 step into the ring, fancy pants Loma will look like a lost boy against the undefeated Ri-GOD.
Cuban style > Euro style, always. This is why Loma been ducking the fight.
Post here if you agree that the Ri-GOD has got this.
fan of both. they both are levels above their competition. I side with rigo if they are both in the ring. Not because hes a fellow Caribe but because he has embarrassed his comp worse in my eyes. If will be a extremely tough fight for both for sure. rigo via close decision maybe even split.
No need to bump this thread.
If that's your intention after the fight is over.
Important thing it's made and the skeptics are already owned.
Things like, "Bobfather would never make this fight happen because of the trauma he suffered from losing hypejob Donaire."
Kills me.
My money is on the slick bruvva Loma to win by KO

I'm just happy to see him on the big stage again. It's been a huge letdown since the Donaire victory
Hasn't it? I guess all us fans thought that would catapult Rigo into the big-time. It's been a dud of a career. Like I said, I'll be happy if he acquits himself well against Lomo. If Rigo wins, I'll be over the moon. But it'll probably be the last big fight he ever has, unless there's a rematch. Guillermo is fast approaching 37 years of age.
I'm just hoping Rigo puts on a good show. I don't see him winning this one. But I'll probably be at the fight anyway.

Some athleticism and a strong left hook heavily reliant on midgets, guys half his size going to him so he could uncork his left hook and catch them mid exchange. A true one trick pony. Whenever any fighter so much as kept their right up he was virtually out of ideas, whenever shown movement he looked terrible even against guys like Vasquez Jr, a tiny 108lb Narvaez neutralised him for most part. No defense at all and very little offense.
He's probably the most overrated fighter I've seen in my lifetime tbh. A more athletic Curtis Stevens.
He is a perfect example on how management can make a guy look brilliant. Only he rarely even did even vs little guys and shot fighters. I think he scored maybe 2 good K.Os and its like people forget he struggled with Vasquez Jr, Narvaez lol, looked ordinary as hell vs that Japanese guy who hadn't fought in years. It even looked like a shot, tiny Arce was paid off and took a free one to me. He didn't even try just literally dropped his gloves and said ok lets get it over with lol
I mean who did Donaire even beat that was a great prime fighter? Just did what Broner did made a killing from beating small guys until he could no longer drain himself and got destroyed every time he fought a truly decent prime fighter.
This is nonsense. A prime Donaire was good. He just fell in love with his left hook. Against other talented fighter you can't rely on one weapon.
A prime Donaire was a vastly overrated, highly one-dimensional fighter who was always nothing but a left hook artist only it worked for most part against such small, faded opposition. A true one trick pony. Even in his earlier fights, same old Donaire. Take away his left hook and the guy has virtually sweet fa to fall back on.
An overrated fighter hyped because TR needed a new cashcow after Marquez laid out Manny.
Its a good win for Rigo but people don't half go overboard with it then again it was these guys who hyped Donaire up to God status in the first place.
I like Rigo and Loma but at this point I think Rigondeaux is a little too old and a little too small.
I like Rigos skills but I seem Lomachenko winning this fight, he's just as skilled, younger, and bigger.
Lomachenko's in his prime right now and Rigondeaux is at the point where he's going to fade at least a bit, and that'll be enough to let Lomachenko take control.
Heart says Rigo, Brain says Loma :frown:
That fight is the go to fight for all Rigondeaux haters. If you watch the fight objectively the only round he lost was the one he went down in, and as you can see from the gif, all that happened was he got touched off balance while stepping and stumbled.
After that happened he decided to play it safe and got on his bike and coasted. But if you understand the cuban amateur system at all, thats what he has been taught to do his entire life. Get up on points and then stay away.
The go to fight for Rigondeaux haters is the Amagasa fight since he was knocked down twice. The second knockdown looked like a push though but it was after he was getting caught with some punches. The first knockdown was legitimate and he wasn't off balance. That isn't just the Cuban amateur system it's the entire amateur system. If you're up on points and in the last round especially then amateurs get on their bikes and force their opponent to pursue them to make up for the point spread difference. Lomachenko did this too, ieg, to Selimov in the 2008 Olympics. It's extremely common to see at the highest levels of amateur boxing at the World Championships and the Olympic Games. There's no reason to engage when you're already up on points and the clock is running down. Your work was already done and the burden is now on your opponent to try and even the score.
Loma is not only bigger than Donaire he's ten times the fighter any version of Donaire was. Rigo was also fresher and better then than he is now. Donaire was a top fighter but lets be real he was awfully one-dimensional.
Loma is better than Donaire in every way, shape and form imaginable.
This is nonsense. A prime Donaire was good. He just fell in love with his left hook. Against other talented fighter you can't rely on one weapon.
obv not. rigo ducked the figth at 126 for a reason. he wasnt ready for a loss but now his contract and career are over so hes willing to lose
I think he ducked for not so much above $300k... Now it's about $1mln, I guess...
hes usually off balance when dropped, the one guy was like 5'9 and way bigger but rigo destroyed him. Ive never seen rigo stunned or staggering. some boxers fall in fights its life.
To be fair, he did get buzzed by Amagasa, and by Marroquin. He recovered will in both instances and went on to dominate.
It'll be Salido again, Garcia and Crawford.
He sure has. He got dropped by a light jab against Cordoba and was getting outboxed and beat up on the inside starting in round 6.
This is Cordoba (southpaw like Loma) knocking down a near prime Rigondeaux with a lazy jab that Rigo jumped into trying to close distance. Cordoba timed him perfectly.

I'm a huge Rigo fan but think he losses this one.
I see him starting brightly and taking an early lead may even go 3-4-5 rounds up but eventually he'll get worn down and stopped around 8-9 or dropped a few times and lose a decision.
Lets be real though. If Rigo gets stopped, it will be because he got dropped hard and Loma closed the show.
I don't think either guy is going to get worn down. Rigo is THE MASTER of slowing down the pace of a fight to a crawl.
I reserve judgement for who will win until I see how big the size difference really is with them face to face.
