All this talk about canelo having more experience than ggg is bogus and proves even more that a large majority of you posters have never been inside a boxing ring before. GGG has over 400 amateur fights and was facing the best in the world since he was a junior. Canelo was facing mexican cab drivers who would get demolished by the top amateurs in the world.
Canelo does not have a lot of highlight fights. He started stepping up his game in the last couple of years. When ggg turned pro he had already faced much better opposition than canelo and was much more seasoned. Amateur or not when you are facing the best in the world, it gives you more experience in the ring. Canelo's best opponents in trout, lara, mayweather, and cotto don't trump ggg's 400 amateur fights and pro fights. Not even close. Experience goes to GGG. Canelo will fold under the lights like he did against mayweather.
That's fine, but he had already also lost to quillen too. What lemieux has is power, but that's it... he's a one trick pony, he's been stopped twice and already lost to a jmw iirc.
dont bother trying to explain this to "THEM"....they already have excuses for that..."lemieux was too young and too green and didnt know how to conserve his energy then"....blah blah blah
what they dont realize is any fighter worth a damn aint losing to alcine or rubio at any stage of their career....
GGG has the better resume. If you analyze their best wins ggg wins are better. Jacobs and lemieux would be the favorite over canelo's best wins. Lara, trout, and cotto. Lemeuix and jacobs would put all of canelo's best wins in a body bag. But that's besides the point. GGG's vast amateur experience will play a huge role in this fight.
hahahaha...stfu u loser...seriously

That's irrelevant if all he has is power. He beat NDam. At the end of the fight he the slugger had a win and NDam the boxer had a lose.
I appreciate that your giving me permission to think for myself. I'm not saying Lemieux is a world beater. I'm responding that NDam has excellent movement and is a good technical boxer. The original statement inferred that Lemieux can't beat a good boxer. He did.

Oh I see...so we're comparing him to Lara?
If one can't look at lemieux and see he's not very talented, then that's their own issue. Facts are that lemieux has lost to much lesser fighters, but if you want to pretend hes a world beater because golovkin beat him, and thus puff up his resume a little, that's up to you.

He beat Hassan NDam who was a solid boxer and has excellent movement.

Dude...lemieux fvcking sucks...why you think he could beat a solid pure boxer is beyond me...you're just fvcking plain stupid

GGG has more amateur experience for sure, Canelo's is almost non-existent. But Canelo is more experienced as a pro. Also Canelo is more experienced at the top level and in big fights where the spotlight is on and the pressure is on because more people are watching you and more viewers and the build up is much bigger. This matters psychologically, a lot more than people think.
Canelo has fought on a higher lever on the pro level..not sure why ya'll keep mentioning this amateur sh1t
This is not true. Their opposition is very similar on the pro stage and they have almost equal amount of fights. The ice breaker here is that while canelo was facing bums and cab drivers from mexico as a teen, ggg was facing the best in the world in the amateurs. Those extra 350 fights put the experience in ggg's hands.
They couldn't beat lemieux and jacobs at 160 you dumb FU-CK. They would be the underdog. Therefore canelo's wins at 154 are irrelevant because he's not fighting at 160. And you are mentally confused with the topic at hand.

No, you said you didn't think that canelos best wins couldn't beat lemieux etc, but his best wins were at 154, so it's reality, it's not hypothetical at all...and if you don't think Lara could make lemieux look totally stupid, then you yourself are a moron.

Fight is at 160. No one cares about hypothetical scenarios if they were the same size. 160 is all that matters since the fight is at 160.

The guys who fought Canelo ducked GGG just like Canelo did.
Honestly, what do you think would happen in GGG vs Cotto, Trout, Lara. Had GGG caught them on the ropes like Canelo did, they would be dropped.
What about Canelo vs Lemieux, Jacobs, Monroe, MM ?
The topic of YOUR thread is experience. Fantasy matchups between their opponents being determined by size doesn't equal experience
But Golovkin has experience fighting and beating top ranked MWs, at 160lbs, and Canelo hasn't. That's what he's saying.
Your logic is off...at 160 the favorites might be different, but canelo was fighting them at 154. Jacobs was an 8-1 underdog, and no idea what lemieux was, but the facts are golovkins resume is loaded with C and C+ fighters with Jacobs the only B level, but had already lost and been stopped in that loss.

Stop hyping up Jacobs and (especially) Lemieux, who is just a crude puncher comparable to Kirkland who Nelo wrecked in 3. Jacobs is overhyped as well, not in Cotto or Lara's league.
Did you just compare lemieux to kirkland who got stopped in 1 rd by ishida one of ggg's worst opponents? Stop posting right now and leave this forum for good.

It only took Ishida 1 round to wreck Kirkland.
Yeah, I forgot how Lara defeated such big names as Yuri Foreman.
