Adrien responds by saying its a bullsh*t deal, said Jay Z should visit him personally cuz they're both 'bosses' and that he should suck his d*ck
lmao Broner bet he wishes he took that offer now, best thing to ever happen to Roc Nation :lol1:
Roc nation is in the business of losing millions of dollars.
How can they even recover the $10 million they awarded to Ward
in the 2 Kov fights?
That's why this thing about Rigo twitter account making it look like it's the money that keeps the Loma fight from happening is bogus.
It was a real dumb move. He made 1 million off of his last fight. That 40 million 4 year contract would almost be up now and he got have chased the pay days he felt he deserved. Broner may have made 5-7 million in earnings sense then, if that.
I heard it was supposed to be a 4 year - 9 fight deal. So it was 4.5 million perfght so obviously you see 40 million and say wow but in the details 40 million in 9 fights i gussed he tought haymon could get him more than that. He bet on himself and he failed but it was understandable considering what he tought he could become.
Neither outcome was known ahead of time....

Took a beating from Pacquiao in a PPV event for 6 million dollars or took a beating from Mikey Garcia in a non PPV event for 1.5+ million dollars?
Or even expected in hindsight after how old Pacquiao looked against Jeff Horn.
Mikey Garcia was a great fighter at 130lbs, who had an extended hiatus, showed flashes of being great at 135lbs, and was coming up to Broner's perfect weight for the fight.
Short money is still short money, especially if you believe that you still have greatness in your own future.
Full value to fight Mikey Garcia on your terms, versus 75% of what you should've been offered for the Pacquiao fight, you take the full value Everytime and hope that you deliver on fight night.
Broner beats Mikey Garcia ("Garcia is a good fighter, but the size difference was a touch too much, etc") and Pacquiao-Broner goes from being a $30m ($20m Pacquiao, $6m Broner, $4m plus Pacquiao's advances to Top Rank) fight to being a $50m fight ($35m Pacquiao, $8m Broner, $7m plus Pacquiao's advances to Top Rank).

Give him a break his IQ is about 30
I think Rigo's contract with Roc expires this year?
Do you think he'll sign up with TMT or PBC?
His contract was for 4 years, $10mil, not even half way through it yet
So $10 mil for four years. That's not bad for say 2 fights/year.
So what is he complaining about?
I dont think he is complaining, really doubt he controls his Twitter account, he just wants to fight, people around him are ****ing up his career
It's all been a hoax from the very beginning.
Whoever uses his twitter account should be exposed
and be made to explain why he's doing this.
Yormark needs to clarify some things.
Someone in the media needs to fact check this.
Things about about Rigo don;t make sense right now.
Yormark should weigh in on this.
This is where it was reported http://www.elnuevoherald.com/deportes/boxeo/article44891430.html
There you go...
Cotto's package deal was supposed to be worth $50m
even if broner had sign with roc nation, would he be making what he's promised, $40 mil in 4 years? Didnt cotto signed with roc nation for $50 something mil? how did that work out?
To help Cotto's concert business in Puerto Rico, and for three fights with the actual boxer, Miguel Cotto.
No details have come out on what the concert business part of the deal looked like, but Cotto's side easily made $20m+ off of the Alvarez fight (how that was split between RocNation and MC Promotions is between them), and both parties were able to come to a number to settle the last fight of the deal.
You add that the Geale fight brought in a really good amount of money, and I doubt that Cotto missed out on all that much.
How do you know? What if it was 8 fights for $5 mil a fight? And even if it was 12-15, still decent money and if he thinks he was so good, he wouldve did it
Even if the offer was for a ridiculous $5m a fight (Broner hadn't even been able to get $2m for a fight before that), he still got beat, clearly, by Shawn Porter in his second fight after publicly passing on the deal.
He's had 6 fights since the offer, lost two of them, and arguably lost a third fight in that run too. There's no way that out clauses wouldn't have existed.
Broner bet on himself and lost; we'd need the actual offer to know if it was a good or bad bet.
The offer was slow, especially when considering what Broner brought to the event
This dumbazz turned down a money fight vs. Pacquiao also. At this point, I don't feel sorry for him.
He has zero business sense and dloverestimates his own talent, hence his shopping against Mikey.
Top Rank went from possibly having an event that they could take to HBO for PPV and MGM Resorts and make a killing on, to fighting a no-name fighter in his home country because that was the only place willing to pay enough to bring Pacquiao over.
And then Pacquiao went ahead and got beat.
Broner didn't match the money, but he got fair value for the Garcia fight, and it was basically in the "good little man vs good bigger man" frame where he was live to win.
Beat Mikey impressively and he'd be back in position for those big money matchups.
He ends up not closing the deal, but don't act as if he took a bad deal, or passed on a good deal for that matter
Well at the time it wasn't a bad deal considering he was undefeated and the top guy in the sport. Add with his self belief he wouldn't ever lose and I see his thinking. Hindsight as they say..
That and then turning down 4 million+ pvp Pacquiao fight. I wonder what kind of retard Broner is.
Top Rank didn't come to Broner's number, had to stake their full event on fighting an Australian in Australia, and watched Pacquiao not only look old as **** against an unknown fighter, but also get beat.
Foresight would've been great to have, but with the performance that a motivated Adrien Broner put up against Mikey Garcia, who's the retard really?
Pacquiao-Broner would've been a fight with two name fighters on PPV (700k homes wouldn't have been that extreme), that would've actually been an attraction in Las Vegas ($15m for the site fee wouldn't have been unheard of either).
Broner would've never gotten the same as Pacquiao, but he would've been compelled to take $6m, Pacquiao would still get his $20m guarantee, there likely would've been more than enough money made for Top Rank to get their share, and Pacquiao could've looked electric against a stationary guy who only fires when you're in front of him (building the interest in fans wanting to see Pacquiao on PPV again after the fight).
Instead, Pacquiao is again fighting in Australia, likely for the same money on ESPN, against a rugged young bull (who folks still doubt the skills of) after already looking like a spent fighter.
“I’m gonna make more than that,” responded Broner when asked about rejecting the Roc offer. “Take $40 million to stop me from making a billion?”
How exactly did Broner think he was going to make over 1 billion in his career? Has he even had a single PPV?
Broner was supposed to be, in his mind anyway, the next PPV star to carry the mantle from Floyd.
If that had actually happened, with the amount of attention that he draws, we'd be talking about a $10m a fight fighter. Fight twice a year and he's already pocketing double what RocNation was willing to guarantee.
It wouldn't have been a lump sum deal, though

4 years for $40m, would've looked been spread over 12-15 fights, with Broner likely needing to perform well to keep the deal going.
Hindsight is what it is, but with the way he's fought since the offer was made, I doubt he would've hardly ever actually ended up seeing much of that money get to him.
