Corrales was a world champion with great knockout power and a large reach advantage.
You're underselling how good and scary Corrales was seen at the time.
Is Floyd supposed to fight multiple guys at the same time to prove he's a great fighter?
but corrales was a basic fighter when all is said and done. a fighter with no jab who had to get close to inflict damage. no special effects as floyd himself would say. and where did you come up with that? each fight is only agaisnt one style so you can look great against one guy and not so great against others. corrales he looked good against beause he was fighting corrales not because he was especially great on that particular day. if he had been fighting a guy who didint walk straight forward with no jab it would have looked different so thats why the he would have beat anyone makes no sense since everyone fights different
or maybe he just had a face first guy with no jab in front of him who was more than likely drained? yea he looked good but he still only fought one guy and one style that night.

He is so far and away the biggest superstar of his generation that millions of people are going to pay $100 to watch him fight an exhibition. Hell, there might be more people that are willing to pay $100 to watch Floyd than were willing to watch superstars like Klitschko and Pacquiao for free on ESPN.
That's not what I meant. And sorry but reach even blamed manny for it not happening sooner
he said it might have been and roach is not a very smart or analytical person. if you look at what happened its clear it was floyd. take teh test take the test i just want manny to take the test........oops i meant manny has to take the 40 millon flat offer! roach is not able or not willing to look at the whole sequence of events just like you so what does that make you? roach was assuming the 0 day cut off was the issue but we learned that was not the issue when floyd changed his demands so im not sure why it was mannys fault for not aclling his bluff earlier.
You can't fault Floyd because he was at a level so far above any of his opposition.
I don't think it mattered who you put in front of the version of Floyd that beat Corrales, no one at that weight was going to beat him that night.
That's the Larry Merchant argument, "Where's the drama?!?" "peeleft:
Greatness that leads to domination in the ring is still greatness even though it's very clear who's going to win.

there was usually no drama because he refused to fight the best. usually when the best fight each other(on a level playing field) you get great fights or at least dramatic fights. youd ont usually get domination unless there is a clincher involved and then its not legal. when you line up bums left and right yeah there is not going to be much drama fighting guys lke guerrero or baldomir unless you go all out and try to ko them but thats not his style and the "lets see if he can ko so and so" fights are lame
MAYBE Pac?? You really think Pac was prime when he faced Floyd? On top of that, Floyd had the style in his favor.
Most of the fault is on Floyd, everyone knows it except his fans.

Floyd was Floyd Manny couldn't do anything so its Floyds fault. You people are crying weirdo's .
It was his fault most of the time. It doesn't even come close to Marquez beating Pac. Look how quick he wanted to fight McGregor compared to Pac. Look at how he made the "clean fighter" excuse only to cheer for cheaters on his "Money Team". FOH!
thats like saying ward vs dawson is a classic. 2 guys fghting weight drained zombies with zero excitement after roudn 1 it was obvious what was going to happen. zero drama!

Mayweather vs Corrales, a classic and Floyd's best performance imo. :boxing:

Lol gimme a break. Floyd gets penalized for being too good. Only one that that could be said for is MAYBE pacquiao. And all the blame isn't on Floyd for that fight not happening sooner
