Anyone here actually a fan of both GGG and Canelo?

I actually liked Canelo in the beginning. As time went on I started seeing him as a diva. I don't hate him but I am definitely not a fan. I didn't really care for Golovkin at first. He's starting to grow on me but I still don't see myself as fan of his either. It's hard to root for or against either one but I've been leaning towards Golovkin to win. At the end of the day I don't really have a horse in this one.

Me, don't really care who wins, although a little bit more biased for GGG, but I just feel like Nelo's gonna win this one. Have one of those feelings. I just hope it goes all 12, and we have a classic.

I'm also a fan of both fighters. I think GGG has the edge and in truth I like watching him in the ring a little more than Canelo, but I also have really enjoyed following Canelo and watching him develop into a multi-faceted boxer-puncher. I also think Canelo's gotten a lot of heat for preparing himself for a middleweight jump with lesser opponents, but I still give him a lot of credit for chasing down hard fights in Trout and Lara at 154 a few years ago. I'm pulling for GGG mostly because I'd like to see him have a big touchstone win for his career before he gets too old, but really I'm just pulling for a really good fight and I don't care too much who will end up winning. I'll continue to support both these guys if they keep fighting at the world level.

I am glad that this fight got done in the right time. I gave the edge to triple G because he is naturally bigger and is a puncher with skills. Wouldn't be surprised if Canelo makes it a complicated fight because he does have wicked combos on the counterpunch and excellent waist movement. Too bad his legs are not part of his arsenal.

I can really get that Golovking would be disliked because he claims he let's his opponents hit him to make it more interesting. I feel like my question kind of is more directed at people who hate on Canelo for the simple reason that he's a real threat to GGG. I don't see how people could hate on him if you also like GGG. Fanboyism Plus they are so similar but so different Great clash of styles

I like both guys and am not more emotionally invested in one over the other to get into intense standoff debates about who is better. Can't wait to see them throw down next month.

I'm a big fan of both. I'm exciting to see what should be a real career defining fight between two top fighters. May the best man win.

I'm rooting hard for GGG, I understand he's not the best but he's definitely my favorite boxer even If I have some grievances with the way his career has been run. With that been said, I also wouldn't be completely stunned if Canelo won, I feel he is well capable of winning and that's ok. I'd be kind of bummed out but I'd know that the best won without making any excuses. I don't see why people would hate on Canelo, he was also steered into a direction and if he didn't step into this fight is not because he's a coward I think. Me, I'm a boxing fan not an emotionally invested in any of them, unlike most of the feminine sensitive types that make up the majority of this forum. GGG wins in a fight I don't wanna see either guy lose.
