Today Wladimir Klitschko Retired Everybody seems to be in agreement that it is a good decision He retires with the fans Respect Something he hasn't always had Bernard Hopkins was recently Knocked out The Ring and Forced into retirement He didn't retire with the fans respect Pacquiao was beaten by a dude nobody had even heard of 8months ago and really should retire Roy Jones Musta Forgot he keeps getting ktfo as he keeps on fighting Floyd and Cotto are next up to retire Marquez too The New Generation has Arrived Spence Crawford Joshua Canelo Lomachenko Garcia Anyway My point to the thread is this..... Can The New Generation Compete with the Era we just witnessed??? Can they break records? Can They make boxing bigger? Greater fights? Rivalry's?? Thoughts Discuss......

It will come as Jr gets older I expect him to become a danger He already is Would be nice if they promoted him aggressively in North America. I read he works out at Floyd's gym sometimes when he's in the US, maybe he can hook up with Floyd and Haymon to promote him stateside. Good luck to him.

I meant career wise, promotion wise. The son seems cool and flexible, but the father (from what I've read so far) seems a little too rigid and dictatorial. He should help his son, of course, but let the guy's personality shine. Let him make some decisions. It will come as Jr gets older I expect him to become a danger He already is

Nah I disagree A father can get the most from his own like no trainer can But he does need a team And he does need to listen I meant career wise, promotion wise. I love Katie. She's something special (technician and stylist). I'll support her all the way. I like women's boxing too. Yep.. Eubank can definitely go a long way, with the right team. He should try to be free of his father, career wise. Oscar Valdez is another one. Good topic. I agree with your choices of the new generation, except for Joshua. I don't see him lasting too long to make a legacy. That's just my suspicion. He isn't that skilled. Maybe you could add people like Usyk, Davis, Katie Taylor, etc. Oh and on Joshua I would have agreed pre Klitschko But once a fighter proves me wrong He's got his flaws Many of them But he also has a lot a attributes He's one to keep an eye on Still learning

LOOOOOOOL But the topic don't realllllly need dick measuring doe was my point. The ending of this era of boxing is a real thing & its a dramatic thing we all can feel & relate to. Plus how can we really even compare mfers that we have full knowledge of what they were & weren't capable of to guys who are still trying to find out who they are or aren't. Can't even do a real 80's fighters vs 90's fighters comparison, for example, cuz its more speculative then normal cuz we don't know the value of these new mfers who haven't won &/or lost their biggest fights of their careers yet. It wasn't meant as dlck measuring More excitement for what's to come and what people's thoughts were With a shout out to the fighters on their way out It's good times to be a fan
