What have I missed (regarding Broner)

He is one of the most disrespectful, obnoxious boxers in the sport in my opinion. If he wins this fight his boasting will go through the roof. We will hear how great he says he is in every other boxing scene top headlines.

Broner doesn't do well against people who swarm him. Mikey doesn't do that.That's one reason Broner has a chance to win. Mikey is not nearly as big as the two men who beat Broner. Broner hits hard enough in the late rounds to badly hurt the rugged Porter with one left hook in the 12th round. I expect Garcia's better skills, stamina and defense to win the fight but I won't be shocked or surprised if Broner wins. Broner looks lean, fit, and in good shape. He should be at his best, however good that is or isn't. He will probably outweigh Garcia by about 10 pounds in the ring.

Plus Mikey is the smaller fighter This is his first fight at 140 I know, it's a tough task to pick Broner to move up. They must know something we don't.

Mikey is the smaller guy..we haven't seen Broner fighter a smaller figther in ages. True. I think the weight is the drama in this fight. Broner could do with winning one, but Mikey and Robert are dealing with Floyd now. I think Floyd is pegging him as a big thing. I was before he dropped out in 2013. This will be the confirmation if Mikey looks good.

I heard that a lot as he was coming up, that he was a special talent etc etc, but as soon as he fought malignaggi, everything was confirmed for me. Flat footed, leaky guard and poor all round defence. I think they were pushing for a star but they were overly eager. Only thing I saw from him was power at lower weights, which didn't carry up. Broner was definitely not focused against Paulie. I honestly think he underestimated him and was distracted without all the social media BS. I haven't seen him focused since that fight so that's my biggest problem in picking him now. It's not because he can't box.

The big question is how Mikey's chin is gonna hold up. Broner dropped Porter late and Porter is a sturdy big guy. Mikey is the better boxer but who knows IF/when Broner lets his hands go. I always saw that as a flash knockdown, not like Porter was shook or anything. But Mikey was dropped by Martinez... If Broner opens up, all i see are more opportunites for the counters by Garcia. Garcia one of the most accurate with shots and timing and Broner has a leaky guard at the best of times. Still a good fight though. Weight is the only thing attracting me to this but Mikey's a really big 135 anyways so I can't see a problem there.

I never really spoke about Broner in here but since he agreed to fight Porter I just considered that he was done as they fed him to one lion straight after the other in Maidana. He's turned into a PPV gatekeeper IMO.

I'm solid picking Mikey but he hasn't faced anyone like Broner. If this fight get into the late rounds who is to say how Garcia will hold up. He really hasn't gone long distances and he's only fought twice in 3 years. It wouldn't be a shock if Broner pulled this off, I just can't pick him. I just can't see any way this guy can win. He fought faded champs in the lighter weight divisions, and any quality opposition (Maidana, Porter) have beat him handily. Broner's got poor footwork. He's up and down all over the place with weight. How's he supposed to take Mikey's power shots stood there square?? I got Mikey by KO but I'd like to hear some perspectives. Never rated broner as an elite talent but I have Mikey there. Broner is talented and he's never really been beat up. Yeah if I'm purely looking at skills I still go with Mikey but Broner has size and a really good counter. I've honestly not seen it in recent years. I mean the best broner looked was against Molina for me.
