SO it seem there are lots of rumors and youtubes, etc.. claiming Brandon Rios KOd Conor McGreggor
I believe they started boxing around the same age but Brandom still has vastly more experience. Thus is it even true that Rios KOed Conor and if so, is it simply do to practice makes perfect or could it also be genetic in that MMA twitch muscles are more for grappling strength and submission memory while boxing more for speed, slickness, hand/eye coordination?
Actually it was both Jessie Vargas and Brandon Rios spreading the rumor of a Conor KO as both can be seen in the video at 2:00
Team McGreggor have denied all these rumors
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/boxing/2017/07/18/exclusive-conor-mcgregor-camp-quash-rumours-knocked-sparring/
Jessie Vargas was joking about Rios sparring McGregor, it was a joke, lol.
However, Vargas was serious about McGregor getting knocked out
this^^
It definitely seems like he was sure McGregor had been KO'd but yeah he was joking about Rios.
Also, although the sparring is supposed to be confidential, i'm sure we would have somehow heard that Rios was sparring McGregor before this supposedly happened.
No such thing as a lucky punch and I didn't say anything about it being lucky. Connor's jaw is a target for anyone fighting him, dunno if you noticed but in boxing the aim is too hit your opponent in the ****ing head.
Dunno what the 2nd part had to do with anything
"Connor's jaw is a target for Floyd, so do you still think that if Rios did KO McGregor in sparring that it was a lucky punch ?" is that what you're trying to say ?.
Stop attempting to complicate things by bringing in unecessary bull****.
you said it had to be "a" punch and being that you were talking a smaller and relatively rough and wild Brandon Rios, I took you to mean what boxers have been talking about with Conor, a puncher chance/lucky punch.
Now as far as the sweet science it is complicated as are so many Sciences, which is why some trainers,etc.. get paid big money.
Likewise, fast twitch muscles are a proven fact as are the differences in bone density and resistance, balance, coordination, testosterone counts, etc.. etc.. among different haplotypes.
Furthermore epigenetics has a big part as far as parents experience and the age that you start a particular sport
You are Right, I should have mentioned something about bone structure and density:pat: too.
I mean lots of guys can take punches way better than others. Conor's jaw by the way is also a huge target for precisionist like Floyd and he doesnt seem to take a punch as well as Floyd either. Whats your opinion on that, still just a lucky punch?
Ill be back later

If he got knocked out it's because he got hit with a decent punch, it's got nothing to do with twitch muscles or any of that nonsense / bull****, come on now.
Yeah as Golden Boi 360 said, it was obvious he was joking about Rios but I wouldnt say he was joking about the KO. People here need to realize, boxers ESPECIALLY at the highest level have GREAT punch resistance. MMA fighters on the other hand, although they do get hit, they have other forms of fighting to rely on to get them out of getting punched repeatedly. Conor isnt going to be able to kick or wrestle his way out of Floyd landing clean. I guarantee the first 3 piece Floyd lands will have Conor in a mess of trouble.

Maybe there were other reasons that Conar got out of boxing and into MMA, like chin resistance

Oh ok, thank you!
What do you think about all these twitch muscles theories I keep hearing about from Bryant Gumble and Stephan A Smith, etc.. talking about?
