I have no issue going on record saying I'm going to stream this comedy, but how many are actually paying for it?
In all honesty I don't know anything about Floyd's alleged financial issues, but it seems this is just a cash grab to rinse the supporters who have already given him a good life.
I just don't see the monetary value for a fight with a "49-0 Vs 0-0" bottom line. But that's just me!
If you are buying this fight, what are your reasons? please be honest :boxing:

There is absolutely no way I would ever pay for this atrocity and I question anyone who would pay for it.
Nope. It's where Arturo Gatti beat the snot out of a helpless white boy.
And again, I'll see it - LONG AFTER it's a thing, LONG AFTER they're done talking about it, LONG AFTER the excuses (which probably won't ever stop).
I remember this. Gatti was mean as chit to that poor guy. Normally the pro boxers just toy with them a little bit and let the guy get winded. Roy Jones was on one of these and was nice to the guy, I think the guy couldnt last however many rounds it was because he got winded with missing everything and Jones tapping him here and there.
Unless the guy talked chit about gatti's kids or something, that wasnt cool by Gatti in my book.
You gotta be an idiot to pay for a circus fight which you can watch
a week or days later for free. Why do I have to see it live?
And I don't need to see details, the highligths is all I need.
I'd rather forget about it as quick as possible.
Then focus on current figthers.
Looking forward to the biggest fight of the year:
Golovkin vs Alvares fight.
You know, I thought about this. Not only will I not pay for it, I won't even watch it. Yes, I'm a Floyd fan AND a McGregor fan at least at the basic level. But here's the problem with this fight. It's a lose-lose all around; there's no upside whatsoever.
If Mayweather goes the distance with McGregor and beats him, people will accuse Floyd of carrying Conor and purposely not showing up.
If McGregor gets a decision over 12 people will blame Floyd's age.
If Mayweather knocks McGregor out people will say, "well of course, he's an MMA fighter, boxing is a different sport, he's never had a fight/Conor has a glass jaw"
If McGregor knocks out Mayweather people will say "well of course, we told you Floyd is too small and Conor's too big"
If it goes to a draw or a no contest, people will accuse either judges or Floyd of rigging the fight to trigger fans into demanding a rematch (despite no rematch clause) to get paid more money
If the ref stops McGregor people will whine about early stoppage and not letting Conor get a chance to recover, or worse, unpunished fouls from Floyd
If the ref stops Floyd they'll accuse Floyd of throwing the fight to get a rematch and get paid more money
If McGregor quits including his corner stopping it or staying down after a KD ala Victor Ortiz, they'll accuse Conor of essentially getting paid to throw the fight ala Charles Martin (the most likely scenario and my prediction)
Floyd won't get credit for winning even if he does show up in Gatti form. McGregor might or might not get credit for winning. Neither will come out superior all said and done. Which is why I felt Conor should have faced someone like Chris Algieri first to help sell the story.
There's simply no upside. There will be some sort of excuse or complaint no matter WHO wins or how they win.
You could have written this same post about Mayweather/Pacquaio, Mayweather/Alvarez, Mayweather/De La Hoya, Mayweather/Cotto or Mayweather/Mosley. Yet, those were five of the top ten PPV selling events in history.
This fight will be no different in terms of criticism, but it will still sell more than Alvarez/Golovkin.
people are coming over about 8 friends there paying for it with their money not me. then 3 weeks later I got more people coming over for canelo ggg and ill pay while they supply the beer and booze
When your friends come over for Canelo/Golovkin, make sure you drink $80 worth of beer and booze to make up for the cost of the PPV.
Ninety percent of the people who claim they won't pay for it are lying. I wasn't planning on buying it, but now I am reconsidering. This fight will likely outsell Mayweather/Pacquaio. I doubt that Alvarez/Golovkin will break the one million PPV mark. Oscar De La Hoya will claim it sold 1.7 million, but will refuse to allow HBO to realease the numbers.
where did you come up with that 90% and how do you know they are lying? you have a crystal ball?
you do know this is garbage right?..or NOT
Hell no. Most likely going to a buddies place that is buying it. But me personally, not paying for a fight that won't be competitive, whatsoever. Honestly wouldn't even care if I missed it, and caught the replay a week later or something.
You won't pay for it yourself, but you will sponge off a friend who is paying for it. That says a lot about your character.
