Bu-bu-but Lomachenko is ducking (even though Rigo backed out of the fight at 126), and it's not like Rigo is re-matching Flores as ordered. Oh, but Lomachenko is fighting Marriaga so he still ducking :lol1:

I just had a very respectful chat with @VasylLomachenko D champ is confident as I am this fight will happen 1day. Until then #Respect
your point is that becaue these two are skilled fighters, they should fight each others, so how is that any different to the hypothetical I picked?
As I said, Rigo is not deserving of fightin anyone of note at 126 or 130 until he proves himself in those divisions. I can understand if Rigo had been active, fighting world level opponents and unified titles but as for now, Rigo is nothing more than a belt holder with 0 notable wins in years and years.
If you want to see the fight thats fine but Loma has bigger fish to fry imo.
Lol at thinking Rigo needs to "prove himself" first to all these cowards that avoid and run from him.... It's all these so called "champions" that need to prove themselves against Rigo!
Loma does NOT have bigger fish to fry unless he eventually makes his way up to 140. Even a fight at 135 vs Mikey Garcia is not as interesting or as important as a fight vs Rigo... Rigo is a legacy making fight, plain and simple...
The question is how much longer will Loma stay at 130 to keep the possibility of this fight alive. And if Loma really cared about his reputation he'd at least come down a couple of pounds...
Even with a massive advantage, Arum is still hesitant to put Loma in ring with Rigo....
I thought this fight would never happen but now i am more optimistic. Loma was bullying Walters who is much bigger than rigo. If this fight does happen both will be missing a lot but loma will be doing more damage with punches that do land. Loma just has to dig to rigos tiny body which is much easier than going for head shots and it's game over for rigo.
Throwing hypotheticals like TC and Gonzalez doesn't add to your argument. We are talking about 2 fighters who show interest in fighting each other, not two random guys you just felt like mentioning.
The point of the match up is to put two of the most skilled guys in their respective divisions together for a great fight. So i'll ask again, as a boxing fan what is wrong with that? I mean aside from your personal feelings about Rigo

This fight isn't even that exciting. Rigo is too small, he'll, I'm not even convinced Rigo could beat Walters.
I'd much rather see Loma move up to 135 in the future and face guys like Mikey (if he can make the weight) or Linares.
At 130, Rigo gets bodied, hard. There will be a 10-15 lbs weight difference on fight night, and that's just too much especially at the lower weights when every pound makes a difference.
rigo shouldn't fight him at 130 tho that's a mistake imo it should be at 126, not sure why u posters are making excuses saying rigo isn't a draw. these are 2 of the top skilled fighters in the sport any boxing fan should be salivating to see this and pushing for it, please stop bringing up the past and rigo being boring and hes not a draw. arum wont make the fight tho, we all know that
Thank you. I remember when fans cared about the best fighting the best. Now fools are more worried about fighters pockets and how many fans they bring to a fight. Pathetic

Its one of the issues, in conjunction with him not having fought anyone of note in almost half a decade, no fights at super feather, let alone world level. So what is the point of this match up?
You say they're two very skilled fighters but so are gonzalez and tc, should they fight?

Who the heck cares if he's a draw or not? It's a fight against two of the most skilled guys out there, any boxing fan would want to see it. Maybe you don't fall under that category since you're worried about his money and his fan base, smh

Rigo is just too small and doesn't have enough punching power to keep the naturally larger and stronger Loma off him. The reason why I am saying this is because he is not out boxing him.
Just as almost all the Eastern European bloc fighters they are masters at cutting off the ring and fighting off the front foot. Unlike Nonito Donaire, he is not giving up that much ring real estate. If they were to indeed tangle don't be surprised if Lomachenko stops him or either knock him out.
Remember Gary Russell tried it but failed to out box Vasyl Lomachenko off the back foot.
Everyone knows that Bob doesn't want anything to do with Rigondeaux; That's unless of course, he thinks Guillermo is now slipping, diminished or vulnerable.
Rigo spent years avoiding a move up in weight and now that he is desperate for money he wants to fight loma although he is 2 divisions apart. Even then he wants to act the diva and have the weight his way.
Plus a question no one is asking why is this fight relevant? Apart from media hype Rigo has done nothing for years been inactive and not a draw. Why should he fight the top dog at 130 while others more deserving have to wait in line?

People act like Loma is scared of Riggo, but let the fight be announced and the same people will be crossing their fingers HOPING Riggo actually wins the fight.
