He's not one to use elbows or excessive clinching like a lot of fighters who actually incorporate illegal tactics into their style. He roughs guys up the right way (by landing a culmination of clean punches).
You are right! Manny has fought clean since 2009 when Floyd Mayweather asked for random drug testing. He has fought so clean, in fact, that he has not had a knockout since the drug testing idea was mentioned.
Loooooooooooooool

Very very true but when the referee is not doing anything, then you have to take matters into your own hands. We've seen this against JMM, Morales and most recently Horn.
But hey, its what makes him such a joy to watch.
Except when he stepped on pacquiaos foot, marquez is also a really clean fighter. He never clinches and just returns fire with more fire.
yeah I forgot JMM. never seen him use dirty tactics. goes to show how great that guy is.
I'm pretty sure I saw him deliberately headbutt Horn at one point, but yeah he generally fights within the rules.

It's a shame he never learned how to fight inside, he would've been a more complete fighter and he would've stayed prime longer. That's where Horn was doing most of the damage, headbutting aside. Let's face it, headbutting is natural when it's a southpaw vs orthodox fighter, it happens a lot. You have be able to mitigate that with effective inside fighting and good blocking. They were unintentionally headbutting eachother, but I agree Horn did it more, but I saw one clash of heads where Pac unintentionally rammed his head into Horn's.

Which is not a good thing for a boxer. You want to be a boxer, mold yourself after Duran. Has anybody ever fouled Duran?
If they did foul Duran there would be hell to pay.

Yup salute to that. no excessive clinch no lowblows no headbutt highlights no sucker punch no holding the other arms, 8 divisions 20 years he knows about those things of course but never wanted to try it out.
If you cant respect that youre on a diff level.
Mayweather and Ward might use dirty veteran tactics, but so what? Who cares? Most of the greats do it and they're saavy enough to get away with it. Only squares play by the rules. Ali was a dirty ass fighter. Tyson was dirty. Holyfied was dirty fighter. The true greats have no issue using dirty tactics and pushing the rule book as far the refs will let them. You seeing anyone crying that Micheal Jordan pushed off against Bryon Russell?
It's just more impressive if you can dominate a guy without resorting to dirty tactics... But I think you need to be a superhuman athletic freak like Roy to be able dominate and fight clean without taking much damage in the process... Manny fights clean but takes more damage, even in his prime..
If Ward or Floyd didn't use their little dirty tricks they would obviously be taking more damage.

You don't see Roy Jones don't doing that stuff and he's a level above both Ward and Floyd.
I would disagree that he is a level above Floyd. Roy may not have done it as much but I also think Floyd and wards resumes are better. The more you fight better fighters who also know all the old school tricks, the more likely you are to use them as well.
I understand your overall points and they are fair.
