He is humble, a hard worker, and just a genuinely nice guy. Contributes positively to society by being a school teacher.
Compared to Pacquiao who was arrogantly texting on his cellphone during the press conference. He got his proper comeuppance.

He left a bad impression in a foreign country with media present.
That has to hurt his brand.
I doubt that hurt his brand. What will possibly hurt his brand is his performance last night. Viewers are use to seeing a sharper Pacquiao. He doesn't seem to have it anymore so people may no longer tune in to his fights.
No because if I did that at my job, we might lose business. Pac lost no business or viewers when he did that.

That's a pretty rude way of relating to people.
Is that how you comport yourself in your daily job?

No because they were reporters doing a job. They had to be there.

Don't you think that the people who showed up to the press conference deserved proper respect and acknowledgement of their time?

In other areas that would have led to condemnation and possibly caused the product to be tarnished but this is boxing. Whoever was planning to watch the fight was still going watch it anyways.

He should have been focused on the big WW he was getting ready to face in the ring.
If he wasn't focused and ready by then, he wouldn't have been after that time period.
He couldn't do that before or after the presser?
It's common courtesy to give people your undivided attention at an official function.

Not even something that serious. It could be reading up on little incidents that affect his constituents. He could have been keeping up with the general issues back home so when he returns to congress he won't be uninformed about the happenings.

Horn worked hard, paid his dues, showed up to fight and took it to a legend. I respect that. He was also very professional in teh face of open criticism by the likes of Atlas, took it on the chin, smiled and went hom world champ.
Hope HOrn can get in a few big pay days in the welter division.
You don't really believe that, do you?
We don't really know what he was doing on the phone. I just threw that out there as a possibility. He could have been browsing Instagram looking at bad b*tches.

Yeah I'm sure he was busy negotiating the fiscal year budget. :lol1: :lol1:

Ok, but it wasn't a good look to be on his cell phone the entire time. People saw it as being disrespectful.
In any case the main point here is that it it's good to see nice guys finishing first every once in a while. Despite the controversy over the decision.
He is a busy man. He isn't just a boxer like other boxers. He has a political career which probably more time consuming that boxing is.
Nah. He wasn't acting. He is a big timer.

So you love seeing a guy like Golovkin on top too, right?
Or does it only apply to guys who beat your favorite fighters' former arch nemesis?
Manny was acting like a big timer during the press conference.
Horn's promoter even called him out on it, saying he was a "world champion texter."
