Did race play a role in Pac vs Horn?

I would hate to think race had anything to do with it. It's not like Manny Pacquiao is a nobody. I think the judges rewarded Horn for hanging tough and not withering against Pacquiao. They were already selling the underdog narrative so all Horn had to do was not take too much damage and make it to the end of the fight.
