I think it's wrong that he is making Golovkin enter the ring first. The champion should always enter last, that honor should have nothing to do with popularity.
Then again this is the same guy under whose watch Ring Magazin put flavor of the month Ronda Rousey on it's cover. A female athlete from another sport.

Well, apparently Oscar has a stick up his ass about respecting boxing. So he must care.
When are you going to update the Pick 'em?
Shiet I guess I'm not really doing anything now
Yeah and Hatton entered the ring first against Pacquiao
Who cares?

Damed if he did the other way, damned if he didn't with these people.
You're the same people who raised hell and wanted GGG to come down to 156 for Canelo. Same people who asked GGG to accept whatever terms Oscar offered. Make up your damn minds.
Canelo is the clear A-side and deserves to call the shots. I still believe that.
But he currently has no belts and as the challenger should walk in first out of deference to boxing tradition, if Oscar really cares so much about respecting boxing.

Didn't Cotto make Martinez come in first?
Didn't Mayweather make both Cotto and Canelo walk in first even though they were the champs at 154?
Actually Mayweather came in first when he fought Cotto, since he was the challenger. Check the video of that fight.
Even the king of the A-sides Floyd has more respect for boxing tradition than Oscar.
That Ring magazine Ronda Rousey callback will never get old LMFAO.
And idk that these lil things promoter's do show a lack of respect. I mean one of my pet peeves is that the current guys respect old traditions so much in general. I'd personally like to see a little more innovation in boxing.
But if anything one of my problems with ODLH is that he's selectivity deciding what's ok and not okay boxing tradition-wise to fit the narrative he's pushing and/or going against GBP's competitors.
Pretty much the way I see it and the way it is.
PS: did you put your watermelon down long enough to speak out against PBC getting rid of traditional ring walks aswell or ring card girls, etc etc?
tskt tsk tsk I hope you did tyrone.
I actually did say that getting rid of the unique boxer entrances and ring girls was a dumb move by PBC.
So try again. :sombrero:
Not to mention that PBC doesn't go around all holier than though criticizing others for disrespecting boxing like that big ass hypocrite Oscar.
I love Canelo and he is tied with GGG as my favorite boxer. GGG is the champ and not Canelo. GGG agreed to come in first because Oscar insisted on it and it was an unimportant detail. Canelo being the lineal champ is meaningless in my opinion. He beat lineal champ Cotto at a weight limit of 155 and Cotto never defended his lineal title above a weight limit of 157. That isn't the traditional way of doing things so why stick to the lineal champ tradition? Canelo never once defended his mythical lineal title so how can he be considered a middleweight champion of any kind when he fights GGG? To me being the lineal champ has no value now that champions can defend their title at weight limits below the traditional class limit. I recognize GGG as the real middleweight champ for winning 3 of the 4 belts either in the ring or by default and always at the traditional weight limit of 160. Canelo must beat GGG first to really be a middleweight world champion.
His lineage descends from beating Cotto who beat Sergio Martinez for the WBC title. So they are intertwined.
thats not how it works man..the WBC has 0 to do with lineage
A lineal champion is a concept came up by true fans after the 1970s when the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF would recognize different champions and strip champions for not fighting their mandatories. Canelo didn't get stripped, he gave his belt away and ducked GGG. That's a fact, anyone who even uses the word lineal should be a real fan of boxing and know that Canelo and middlweight champion aren't in the same sentence.
