There is an argument on this forum that because ward was winning the fight the low blow didn't matter. I will name two fights where the fighter was even more hurt and still came back to win the fight. Anthony joshua was out on his feet vs wladamir. Marquex was getting pummeled by manny prior to koing him. KOVALEV VS WARD 2 was a dead even fight coming in the 8th rd. Ward winning the rd and never dropping kovalev one time does not justify turning a bline eye to low blows.
You're saying the glove touches the beltine. The thumb part of the glove touches the beltline. The fist smashes right in the genital area. How are you not seeing this?
OMG Hahaha
Again a failure in reading comprehension. Your account of events is impossible based on the three observations I layed out.
Read my previous post(s) again......slowly.

The Ward fans on here are idiotic. Unless they have a window to the future, they have no idea how the fight would have panned out and the ywould be the same people (red foxx for one) who ***** and moan at so called early stoppages and decisions outside of the US but when it happens for their guy, in their country it's all "safety doe"
They are despicable, lying human beings.
Your picture shows a low blow. It hits the Hublot logo..... I don't understand what you are tripping on an I'm a fan of Andre Ward.
:pat:
If you were paying attention I just explained how the hublot logo was an air pocket(empty space) that got crushed before the actual impact on Kovalev's belt line.
If the Hublot was directly on Kovalev's groin guard we would see a body ripple shock instantly and a different facial expression from Kovalev. Instead the ripple shock only happens when Ward's glove touches the top beltline.

You clearly failed to comprehend my post because of your delusions. If you read it carefully you wouldn't be spouting this nonsense.

On impact you can observe Ward's glove hitting Kovalev's top belt line. If the impact was on the groin you would not observe this. It is impossible for the glove to impact the groin and the top of the belt line. The reason Ward's glove covers the groin area (but not impact it) is because Kovalev's trunks are creased out creating a pocket of air.
Therefore Ward's glove impacted squarely on the belt (Krusher logo).
The combination of Kovalev bending over & leaning forward with his trunks creased out creates the illusion Of Ward hitting low on the groin. In reality the Hublot is just an air pocket(empty space).
The only way you're correct is if Kovalev is a mutant born in Chernobyl. He would have special anatomy with his balls attached to his navel.
Dude just give it up. Even Kovalev isn't using the fabricated "low blow" excuse anymore. Why are you still using that excuse for him yet still claiming to be objective?
You are not objective. You are a coward afraid of being dogpiled by kovtards, instead of speaking the truth.

The biggest thing to take note of in this fight was Ward's conditioning and strength. Ward wasn't out muscled by Kovalev, Ward wasn't getting tired, even at the end of the fight in the 8th Ward looked much stronger and quicker.
When you consider how strong Ward looked in addition to the fact that he's the much better boxer, and Kovalev was going to slow in the late rounds from the body work you might start to see how Ward was breaking down the giant.
Gotta give Andre Ward his due, he didn't get bullied and broke down the guy who's supposed to be bigger and stronger than him.
IDK what people were watching but I thought ward was outclassing Kovalev. Kovalev only one 2 rd at maximum. Ward was clearly landing the cleaner more effective shots. Commentators were bragging about Kovalev'd jab but only rd it really ever landed was rd 2. But this is also coming from the guy that thought bradley won vs pacman 8-4(being generous to pacman).
Fight was not close. Don't listen to Lederman.

"Ready to fight? but no low blows dude"
lol for real, as "low" as they want to believe Ward's punch was, Kov's nuts aren't located there.
instead of goign through hoops trying to see the top of the glove, look at the bottom of the glove, which clearly lands low :lol1:

The bottom of his glove catches the material which is clearly scrunched up, I mean that happens when you bend over. If you ignore this fact it looks low.
borderline :lol1:
dude you can't expect me to take you seriously if you're going to watch a clear low blow land in literally in slow motion and call it borderline.
shots aroudn the navel are borderline. this punch was very clearly lower than that.
better fighter won, still a tainted win. FFS that's a low blow. this whole "borderline" rhetoric needs to stop. it was low. weeks blew it and stopped the fight on a foul.
just because one guy is a flat out better fighter, we ignore low blows?
ward's developinga reputation as a dirty fighter, and he's not doing anything to dissuade people who say he's headbutted intentionally in the past, that he holds to get an advantage and land illegally with a free hand, and now that he throws low blows.
The problem with this is that you are watching slow motion and freeze frame replays. Weeks wasn't. Everything live happens much faster than on television. I m sure you already know this. And again, it doesn't change the fact Kovalev was looking for a way out starting in the 7th round.
And so what if Ward has taken certain liberties in the ring, thousands of fighters have before him and thousands will after him. Boxing isn't for the meek.

Now for the truth:
https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2017/06/23/WardKovalev_14da50.gif
1. Kovalev's trunks creased out forming an air pocket because he is bending over.
2. On impact Ward's glove is hitting the top belt line as shown by the red arrow. It also covers the "Krusher" logo which is obstructed by kovalev's arm.
3. The body shock ripple effect happens when Ward's glove hits the top beltline, after crushing the hublot air pocket.
You can clearly see Ward's glove hitting the belt line as shown by the red arrow. First the Hublot air pocket gets crushed without any impact damage. Then Kovalev's body absorbs the impact when Ward's glove crashes into his belt. That's a borderline shot.
All legal blows debate over. Accept reality and admit Kovalev got his ass kicked.

you guys are not on my level and not worth my time. sad that i've wasted this much of my life trying to argue with people who appear to be motivated very obviously by something outside of objectivty, truth, or a quest to engage in productive talk about boxing.
post another meme, kid.
If you made $900K in your last fight and offered $3 mil,
what "right deal" are you still talking about?
Makes no sense. Might as well just stay where you are
and rematch Stiverne.
You could tell that they were two fighters heading in opposite directions.
Ward was getting stronger, and starting to turn it on.
Kovalev was tired and looking for a way out.
It was pretty obvious.
again, this is completely irrlevant in a discussion of whether or not it was a low blow. doesn't matter who was winning. doesn't matter who you like doesn't matter who was the better fighter
what matters is whether or not the blow was low. was it low? very obviously the answer to that question is yes.
Borderline MAY have reserved a warning, not a points deduction. Doesn't change the fact Kov was looking for a way out in my opinion.
borderline :lol1:

clean win. fighter lands a low blow, fight is called off.
objective. calling shots that ward himself called borderline "clear body shots" is also objective. FFS ward himself called them borderline :lol1:
whatever helps you guys sleep at night :lol1:. i am an objective poster. i am actually a ward fan. i went to las vegas to see the first kovalev fight, and i wasn't there to see kovalev. i even bet on ward. do not care if oyu don't believe me.

with kovalovs own words and new admissions that ward beat him broke him down and won fair and square (like i have been saying this entire thread) new england is a complete clown and a disgrace for a "ward fan" just truly truly ridiculous stuff.
I can't give you green K because you've disabled karma.
I agree with you. I can't recall a single other fight where a boxer is awarded a tko win after a foul.
he wasn't just losing a round, he was slowing down seriously and looked like he may well be stopped.
that said, he took a lot of damage from low blows during the course of the fight, and the ref made a huge mistake in not taking any points or allowing kovalev to recover.
see, guys? objectivity!
