Ok damage control this. You can clearly see KOvalevs belly button if the video is paused at 8:08 towards 8:10+.
Now, the ref, seeing this, pounts below the belly button and claims a punch there is ok. That is wrong but even if we are to take the refs word that the shot is ok, a number of thsoe shots went in on the hublot or whatever it was that was written, literally between the two legs.
now, how does one justify that as correct? When we know Kovs trunks were not too high. Did Kovalev bring his trunks up so high between rounds thatthe hublot sign was no over his belly button? lol
Oh you idiots.
Edit: Tony Weeks just shot the home boys on here in teh foot. HIs exact words "down here is good, even though IT IS LOW"
hahahah so ok, a lowblow is ok for this ref. Please explain.
I'm gonna keep bumping this until my challenge gets accepted:
Show me a single video and/or image of KOvalev during the referees instructions where his trunks were above the belly button and Tony Weeks stated his trunks were too high?
If you can do that, I WILL TAKE A PERMABAN from this site, if you can't, then you take the permaban.
All these idiots like the child care dodging Larry, Red Prick, Extint Panda etc etc, lets go, lets see what you got.
I don't view boxing along race lines or making some sort of internet image for myself, I call the shots how they are. So...challenge accepted?
The replays clearly showed part of the glove, in one of the 3 shots that landed, starying below the belt. BUt let me ask you this, who said the belt is not a low blow? Kovs trunks were below the belly button (navel), which is almost always regarded as the border for whats low and whats not. The ref changed the rules at the start of the fight.
Who gave him that permission to change the long standing law of boxing on the fly? That's ridiculous. Whats' worse is, the ref himself states "that's low but I'll accept it"...like wtf?
Now, as I keep saying, moving away from the low blows, accepted or not, why was the fight stopped?
:bottle::bottle:
Kova looked for a way out and found it. You boys need to praise Saint Weeks for saving Krusher from a humiliating KO.
Still want to see Superman tax that ass tho.
they were definitely low. listen to what weeks says and does during the pre fight instructions. he draws an imaginary line in the middle of kovs belt line and says this and anywhere above this is good, anywhere below is low. ward was landing on the bottom of the belt and often lower nonstop in this fight. ward fans are pretending the whole belt was legal when that simply was not the case according to weeks own instructions.
Just hear what Lampley has to say on this.
And he was a vocal critic of Ward's performance in the first fight, and even more so of the judge's scoring of that fight.
Granted that the last shot was more than 'questionable'.
It's easy to land a good right hand when you low blowed your opponent not even a minute earlier. But even though Kovalev was out of breath due to a punch to his balls, and he wasn't even thinking of defending his head, Ward still couldn't drop him with his strongest shot.
You guys sound like some females. Have you ever been hit in the balls before? It takes minutes to recover from a nut shot. Look at Kovalev's reaction. Dude should get an Oscar for his acting.
How did Kova allegedly WIN?
Idk I didn't say he won. What I meant was anyone saying AJ should have been disqualified etc is being called racist, by certain boxing platforms.
Well it's a tainted win as a result of the win coming via terrible stoppage.
Coming into the 8th round the fight was pretty even. 4-3 for either fighter is within reason. Maybe Kov would have recovered or maybe Ward would have stopped him. We'll never know because of a terrible call to stop it by tony weeks.
I agree but the win isn't tainted. Kov imo was looking for a way to get out of there. I'm glad the ref didn't oblige him but I am also mad he stopped it.
We won is claiming victory. We winnin(g) is an urban colloquialism that means we are happy and celebrating because Ward won.
Ok cool... Stay winning then ;)
tko stand for technical knockout not tainted knockout. The win isn't tainted even though the stoppage was bad.

No matter how big of a ward fan you are, you cannot honestly say that you're happy with the way the fight ended.
Low blows or not, that was a BS stoppage that also robbed Ward of a clear and legitimate stoppage that he probably would have gotten had the fight continued.
Yes it's a win, but like the first fight, a tainted win.

Those shots right before were not low blows. They've been shown numerous times. Clearly on the belt. Care to show these low blows?
