Revisionist history about Wlad letting Anthony Joshua off the hook

These guys could fight 5 times and a different winner each time. With huge heavy hitters, anything can happen. Same if you add Wilder into the equation.

Wlad knew if he became reckless he could end up on the floor again, so he tried to methodically break Joshua down, but still failed coz Joshua was slicker than anyone hear would like to admit coz he slipped the hell out of those left hooks and stayed on Klitschko's left side to make it difficult for Klit to throw or land the right hand. But people just wana make it look like Joshua's victory had nothing to do with his skills and power. Fact is, Klitschko was getting thoroughly outboxed before Joshua gassed, and every time Joshua decided to go for the kill Klitschko hit the deck like nobody's business. He was thoroughly outclassed, only reason the fight looked competetive was coz Joshua gassed, whenever they were both energized Klitschko looked like he didn't belong in there with Joshua.

Did he fight conservatively to let him off the hook or did he make the decision to not be reckless against a dangerous wounded fighter? I think it was the latter. Joshua was able to recover but while he was hurt he was still making Klitschko miss punches and firing back. Of course he wasn't intentionally taking it easy on him, for the sake of being forgiving. No one has ever said, implied, or even believed that. What Wlad did was be cautious so that he wouldn't gas himself, or get countered. It's one of those risk calculations every fighter has to figure out in the heat of the moment. Wlad has always played it conservative. I think you and I are probably in agreement there.

Wlad is in control He could've ended it, but he likes Joshua. He decided to go easy on the young lad and let him get a victory to build up a big money rematch.

Wlad tried to finish AJ and couldn't. Stop with this BS! He threw a lot of power shots after he had AJ hurt but couldn't land. If that's the case did AJ let Klitschko survive after scoring the first knockdown and prematurely celebrating? Wlad didn't lose it, AJ won it! This narrative about the fight is tired and old. I thought this he tried for the KO and after wasting so much energy he decided that as he wasnt hitting him the risk reward ratio wasnt there to keep it up, if he had kept going and gassed completely most of the people criticising now would be saying he should have kept calm used his experience and picked his moment.

Wlad's timing was terrible in the Joshua fight. Did you see those left hooks he was landing? I didn't.

Of course he let him off the hook.. the left hook that is.. Wlad was telegraphing his left hooks all night and even a gassed out AJ could see and duck it.. Aj prepared well in training to avoid Wlads hooks and it payed off in the fight..

Klitschko was throwing bombs. He wasn't jabbing, he wasn't on the backfoot. He was on the front font throwing haymakers. He couldn't land. Portraying it as anything else is inaccurate.
