As much as I hate Broner....

Have we ever seen a focused, well trained Broner with his full potential on display in the ring? No. He looks and sounds different now. I think he has a good chance. He reminds me of judah in that respect...always leaving us thinking "is this the fight he puts it all together?" It's possible that he just is what he is and will always come up a bit short against the top level fighters. The question is, can garcia be that at 140?

Posts like these now, on fight night will turn to "Broner is bigger than I thought". Broner is different than Zlaticanin, Juanma, Martinez, Burgos. Broner would KO all those guys with ease too at 130-135. Mikey may not even be as hard for Broner as Maidana, Porter, or Grandados. Yes, Granados, is a big, tough JWW who at worst has lost MD's in his career. I WANT Mikey to win, I prefer him to win, he's the more serious boxer, he's better P4P, he's more skilled. But this is a legit fight. I think those who are saying this will be easy are underestimating Broner. I don't know about the size difference. Broner has proven to be undersized at 147 and him and mikey have pretty well the same height and reach...so it's basically a lw vs a jr ww which isn't too big of a deal. We'll see tho...

This is like Canelo-Chavez. I like Broner's toughness but he is headed for an azz whooping.

Garcia has not fought the level of opponents Broner has so gonna side with the Problem on this one. Maidana couldn't knock Broner out so I don't see Mickey getting the KO, if anything Mickey will be the one to touch the canvas. Will definitely be an interesting one

I don't underestimate Broner and I think he has chance to win. I favor the smaller Garcia to win because I think he is the more skillful fighter with better stamina and a much higher punch output per round. Broner has never lost at 140 pounds and he is a big puncher at that weight.

First of all, we've seen this happen all the time. Not just the examples you provided. So just cause it happens it doesn't mean it will in Garcia vs Broner. Second of all, the main difference here and a very big one at that is that, we've seen Garcia come through when he's counted out. But Broner, he comes up short. Always has and always will. Tell me one fight where he was supposed to lose that he won. Instead what does he do? Loses fights that he was supposed to win. IDK man, every dog has their day.

Unfortunately 9 times out of 10 things play out exactly the way that the promoters want them to, and in this case I don't think Broner is the one who is supposed to win here. I think Haymon and co. are fed up with his antics and are sacrificing him as a "name" for Mikey's resume. I like both guys and am hoping for fireworks, but my instincts are telling me Mikey will dominate :/. If they were tired of his antics theyd put him against a killer at 147 like Spence, Pacquaio, or Thurman. They are giving Broner a 3rd chance with Garcia and what better way than to put a smaller Mexican American fighter. Some may not see it but I think Haymon and crew are sitting there with their little fingers crossed hoping for an upset but in all reality Garcia shouldnt be favored.

To me it is hard to say I need to see what kind of fight Broner brings to the table, if he does his normal try to box from the outside things which is what I would expect because that is what he generally does then I think Garcia will outbox him because Broner will not be active enough and Garcia is the better boxer. If Broner gets aggressive and offensive minded because Garcia is much smaller all bets are off because Broner does have a good offense when he uses it and a size advantage. I like Garcia's chances but if Broner fights the proper fight it could be a hard night for Garcia, but I just don't like depending on Broner to really fight the way he should.

It's frustrating when a promoter, sanctioning body or network prevents a fight from happening that both fighters want. Agreed. I just can't see Arum making that fight. I can't see Haymon/Schaeffer making it either because they have guys like Easter and Farmer available win or lose against Broner.

My only concern is the size difference. What sucks about this fight is that it jeopardizes a fight with Lomachenko, which is what everyone wanted to see.. You really think Arum was going to make Mikey/Loma once Mikey sued him and left TR?

Many people had the same attitude with Matthysse vs DSG. People just couldn't see how Matthysse was not going to KO DSG in under 6 rounds or even lose. And would love to see him get put to sleep, I think he has a chance to win. I wouldn't underestimate Broner. If he were to win, a Pacquiao fight would be pretty big.
