EVeryone knows mikey is one of my favorite fighters today
i think he made a calculated risk but may have picked off more than he can chew
Broner has only lost to larger, swarmers....not smaller, technical boxers who fight at a deliberate pace
Broner is bigger, stronger, hits harder, has faster hands and a great chin
I saw no picking Broner to win...not one when i scrolled through the forum....why? do some of you really want to see him lose that bad that you are not realistic about his talent
i dont let personality traits or out of ring things blind my judgement of talent
This wont be a cake walk for either fighter but many are selling broner short or simply want to see him KTFO
Broner has damaged his body with weight ballooning and alcohol abuse. The Broner that beat Demarco would give Mikey a hell of a fight possibly even winning but that guy is long gone. I don't think he can cut down to 140 without it heavily draining him also.
Instead of crying like a female why don't you answer the
question?
Who exactly do you think i am?
You emotional pansy
No one in particular, I just think you are a p#ssy alt.
Speaking of females, you know you're the only female here. Chicks are more likely start stuff online only. You're probably some timid, soft spoken little b*tch who has a platform to be tough on the internet! :lol1:
The motivation to win this fight is HUGE for both AB and Mikey. It all depends on who is more motivated and who is more ready come fight night.
I give the edge to Mikey because he has the better corner and IMHO, Mikey is more intelligent in and out of the ring. AB is all about that shock value and hyping himself. I am not saying he is not serious about his craft, but I don't think he is 100% all about the fight game.
Again, the motivation is crazy high to win this high-profile fight. Maybe AB gets real with his training, his head and leaves the hyping to the promoters? I know Mikey's corner will have Mikey ready to fight. Mikey is the consummate pro, so his motivation to win will always be there.
I have a feeling it will be a good scrap. I ain't betting on this one. I will not be surprised if either man wins.
Great Post, OP!
Not one to flame race baiting conversations, but I just thought to myself "damn I never saw Mikey fight a slick fighter. Mikey never fought a slick fighter or a black fighter. I don't know about Mikey's inside game and Broner will test it for the first time in his pro career in this style. Hopefully he lets his hands go.
I can't stand broner and I hope Mikey beats the p1ss out of him.
Having said that, I think broners overall size, strength, punching power, speed and toughness will give mikey a lot of problems in this fight. Broners only been beaten by bigger, swarming type of guys which Mikey isn't. Even in his losses he never stopped trying and actually had some good moments of his own. If broner can drop an iron chinned Porter, he can definitely hurt Mikey as well.
Ultimately, I think Mikeys overall ring iq, precision, counter punching, activity, and power should get him the win. But broner is a live dog no question about it
I agree totally, only reason I have mikey is bc broners activity rate is woefully low. He can be outworked and if he fights like he did v granados he will not win.
But I do believe broner will touch Mikey and how he responds will dictate how the fight goes.
im guessing you didnt watch the maidana fight.....he kept trying to win and got up from two knockdowns
vs Porter he tried to play counter puncher got outworked
he didnt look bad vs granados...it was the same style and tenacity that troubled him in the past and he pulled out the win in an exciting fight
well you can say the same for mikey....Broner isnt a featherweight or 130 guy...come one bro...he aint no punching bag roman martinez and lil azz Dejan Z
that's why i said that he has a puncher's chance because we have seen garcia hurt before (dropped vs martinez and rocked hard by burgos in the next fight) if broner manages to hurt him i think he can finish him.
Remember before the Maidana fight when Broner "only struggles with boxers but easily beats brawlers"? :lol1:
Now he doesn't struggle with boxers but struggles with brawlers? Okay. In reality he struggles with damn near any style because he's above average at best. We've seen so over and over throughout his career.
I think he was a force at 130-135, I would probably classify him as an elite world champion when he was at those weights, beatable, but pretty formidable. I'm not one of these guys who believes in weight bullies, at the end of the day if you make the weight then you make it end of discussion, there are repercussions if you are not able to do it healthily.
With that said, had he been more disciplined and professional he probably could have stayed down there a lot longer and made a better career for himself. But he thought he could walk through weight divisions like it was nothing - even Floyd and Oscar generally acclimated to weight divisions, far more talented fighters.
But he is an idiot - and the Paulie fight, where Broner really couldn't shift him and got outworked and outboxed for long periods really should have been his warning to move back down, but he didn't heed the lesson and got his ass whipped twice for it. He might just get his butt beat again next month, but I do make him a live dog in this one because Mikey has to overcome a big size disadvantage.

How long are people going to keep up this myth that Broner only loses to bigger swarmers? Even if you for some reason discount how Porter completely outboxed Broner, he has looked like trash against a variety of styles and only won because he was fighting mediocre competition. He has arguably lost to fighters who are not at all bigger swarmers.
He hasn't lost against someone who fights like Garcia because he's never fought anyone remotely as good as Garcia with that style. Now he is and he will almost definitely get his ass whipped.
I posted something similar in the Mikey-Broner thread where the fight was announced. This is not an easy out at all, this is a pick em with the size difference factored in. I think Mikey will take it via close decision because he's more consistent and to me has a better mental makeup - I don't really look at the Porter and Maidana fights too much when it comes to my prediction on this, more-so their careers as a whole and actually some of Broner's lacklustre winning efforts.
But I make Broner a very live dog, and as a Mikey fan I will be very anxious during the early stages, because those first couple of rounds will reveal the pattern of this fight. I have a feeling that Mikey will have to dig deep and scrap through this to get the win, he won't be able to do it in his usual explosive manner.
P4P Mikey is undoubtedly the better fighter, but Broner is bigger and very good so will Mikey's power, ability, and consistency make up the difference? That is the main question in this fight.
Some how I doubt that larry jr.
I wouldn't know. I don't keep track of things as trivial as that.
You clearly do though.
What is this nonsense?
Who do you think I am exactly?
:rofl::rofl:
Let me get on my alt to talk sh#t.
How much of a p*ssy do you have to be to pull something like this? Jesus, you're a f*cking f*ggot :lol1:
So if Garcia makes a fool of Broner and knocks him out with ease will you admit YDKSAB?
I'll quote you after the fight.
It's funny, last time you posted was 3 days ago, and quoted me. Now you post again, and quote me again :lol1:
You are obviously an alt, so scared of posting with your real, already anon account, that you made yet another anon account, more anon than your OG account...to reply to me. The f*cking fear.
How does it feel to be a p*ssy even on the internet?
:lol1:
broner goes gun shy once he feels power, he lost his 2 biggest fight in the same manner. this is not theophane or any other undersized opponent, and he looked bad in his last fight vs granados.

The guy has made a career of coming in over the 140 lbs. weight limit both before and after the Porter bout. The guy has never taken his career seriously, in or out of the ring. I don't see any reason why this time will be any different.
I agree in addition hes only fought like 7rds in the past 4yrs, I dont think Mikey should be favored. BUT at the same time Ponce De Leon fought very well against Broner and is probably about the same size and stature as Mikey and he attempted to outbox Broner. I actually thought Broner lost or it shoulda been a draw But it was close enough for it to go the other way too.
I guess like most speculate it depends on what Broner we get.
Ponce threw A TON of punches though mikey doesnt fight like that hes a tactical counter puncher.

some of you are selling Broner short, I wouldnt be surprised if he beat Mikey | BoxingScene Community
