Imagine Joshua 30 plus fights in calling out Wilder 17 fights in?????:doh:
SO on one hand you all say hes ducking Joshua and not fighting any of these ELITE fighters in the division then he calls him out n this comes? I get your point but it seems like some just find anything to complain about
so your answer is that the only significant Win at HW outside of Klitz is Klitz? before his prior fight he was gone for 2 years... Anthony Joshua and his team have been getting called out by wilder and they said they need a few more fights... is that ducking? Hes calling out parker and his team is saying Wilder isn't a big enough name.
nah... it's just a shame wilder's camp doesnt have the ball to pursue wladimir. because at that time i give wilder 40% chance to beat wlad. i saw wlad was on rapid decline in his several last fights also with manny steward passing, and wilder miss those oppurtunity to be the one who finally beat wladimir.
I like both Wilder and Ortiz. I don't know why they are not more active but I agree that the whole HW division needs to step up their activity. AJ's win over Klitz was definitely a shot in the arm for an ailing division, but one big fight a year is not enough to revive it. It's no wonder most folks today are more in-tuned and in the know about MMA than boxing. I could ask anybody at work who they like in MMA and they can rattle off several names. Ask them if they know who GGG, Andre Ward, Errol Spence, Kovolev,etc,etc, and they might say something like "I think I've heard of that guy,.....isn't he a welter weight?!?!?!?" And 9 times out of 10 they are clueless as to what fighters are in what divisions. That is sad. But getting back to the HW division, There definitely needs to be more activity as a whole.
A champion has an obligation to defend his title against top contenders. If he doesn't then top contenders don't get a chance to win a title. A contender like Ortiz has no such obligation. That's why posters have a right to criticize Wilder defending his title against guys boxrec ranks as low as 40th. Not as much attention is given to Ortiz's opponents because Ortiz isn't a world champion. If you are just comparing resumes Wilder has a better resume.
What a bunch of lames in this thread : Joey Parker has two top ten wins on his resume ( believe it or not) and nobody knows who they are but the best part is hes considered the 'weakest' champion hahahaha!
Tyson Fury is a clown ( enough said ) Anthony Joshua went life and death with Fury's leftovers almost two years later and the geezer went in without a tune-up and almost sparked him cold.
'King-Dung' Ortiz couldn't stop Malik Scott or David Allen without the help of the UK ref.
So whats all this crap about resume? HW is trash, Deontays resume is as good as any in this division ; stop hating on Wilder because these overgrown cowards been ducking him and getting caught doing drugs.
This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:boxing::boxing:

when wilder got his belt his manager exact quote about wlad was "we're not in hurry to unified with wladimir klitschko"

at this point outside of wlad what other significant win can any HW have? why do posters act like Wilder didn't try to fight a decent name and it blew then got hurt vs the guy who stepped in?

:haha::haha::haha:
You might want to add at LEAST ten years to his age.
Alright, alright. ALLEGEDLY 38 years old, how's that?
People are also forgetting Wilder had a fight setup with Povetkin over in Russia that Povetkin completely screwed up. Obviously that's not a win but at least it counts for him chasing tough fights - a win over Povetkin would be better than a win over Klitschko at this stage, although I personally think Povetkin would've beaten Wilder.
The problem i have now is Wilder is a world champion now! I don't mind boxer talking crap but make sure your resume is stacked, I don't want the excuse about this one or that one ducked me. Wilder am running out of patience with him. I give him the Pedvtkin bit because that isn't his fault but he needs to do something big this year, I really dislike it when fighters have like 35-0 records and 33/34 of them are like bums (No offence to boxers).
You must not have seen my posts about ortiz then lol but thing is, ortiz is a contender. Wilder on the other hand has held a world title for about 3 years. His record is disgraceful, quite possibly the worst stint as a hw champ ever.
