For me I'd say:
1) Andre Ward
2) Terence Crawford
3) Mikey Garcia
4) Keith Thurman
5) Errol Spence
6) Jermall Charlo
7) Shawn Porter
8) Danny Garcia
9) Leo Santa Cruz
10) Gervonta Davis
Guys like jermell charlo, Joe smith jr, deontay wilder, gary russell jr, and Abner mares can be up there as well imo
You were factually incorrect, just admit it. There is no such thing as MexicaN-American or any other - American. The US does not allow dual nationalities.
He is not an American fighter.
Raised in America. Educated in America. Possibly even born in America (there are conflicting sources on that). Sounds american to me, which is why i included him in this list. If he's been raised in America his whole life, regardless if he was even born here or not, he's still American.
It's up to interpretation i suppose, he was raised in America but may have been born in mexico. if thats the case he would be mexican-american, which still makes him american. he was an amateur here, was educated here, and speaks english well albeit with a mexican accent. i dont put too much stock into that btw, here in texas there are plenty of folks born and raised in the U.S but have thick mexican accents. it has more to do with the fact that his parents spoke entirely spanish, so he probably learned spanish before english even though he lived in the U.S.

I think so too. Everything I saw seems to suggest he was born in Mexico and they emigrated when he was young. Doesn't really matter to me, just gave me something to look up.

It's clearly Mexico. If anyone hears him speak they can clearly tell he wasn't born in Mexico. I think he also gave an interview about coming to America.
Whatever though. For a country with the largest boxing population on the planet they barely have 4 fighters that are truly world class.

True statement. Obviously GGG is p4p 1, but since he isn't American, he doesn't qualify in this context.
The bigger question has become, Where was Santa Cruz born?

GGG #1 PFP after he ICED #2 PFP Danny Jacobs who was NEVER KTFO or even KD by Paulie Malignaggi of MW.
LLLENADY #1 TBE

His profile on the offical PBC website says otherwise. I'll take their word for it over Wikipedia
I'm not quoting wiki. I'm quoting boxrec, possibly the largest boxing database around.
It would make sense for pbc to make him seem like he was American born.
The description in his bio there says he was born and raised in LA.
"While most of his family was born in Mexico, Leo Santa Cruz was born and raised in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles."
These other articles say that Santa Cruz from LA as well:

This quote is from the article in the Mirror you posted
The 28-year-old's mum and dad emigrated to California from Mexico when he was a kid to make a better life for their family
oh ok, so you both believe LSC was born in teh US. If you say so, where is your evidence?
Juicy J posted two things stating he was born in the States. What you posted was still dumb because he speaks good if not great English.
They seemingly contradict themselves. In the stats section, it says he was born in Mexico.
Maybe they said LA because they don't want Trump to send him back...
Possibly :lol1:
But it is confusing that they have different information on where he was born

No, he wasnt born in America. He was born in Huetamo, Michoacán de Ocampo, Mexico.
Btw I get your list now, a fighter doesn't necessarily have to be world level to be a top 10 American fighter. I mean that I do not believe there are 10 out and out world level or world proven American fighters. That's all I'm saying.

you have got to be in the running for dumbest cnut on bscene at the moment.
not only are your opinions beyond retarded, you don't even have correct factual information.
And with that dumbassery you pretty much cement that YDSAB. The lol at the end is the cherry on top :lol1:

He was born and raised in America, so he's american.
As for the rest:
i thought ward lost the fight with kov as well, but it was close. kov definitely slowed down the second half of the fight, and that cost it for him. hopefully we get a more clear result in the rematch.
Danny lost a pretty close but clear decision to keith, there is no shame in that. he still has one of the best resumes out there and should still be considered among the best americans right now, same with porter.
gervonta davis is still largely unproven, i admittedly added him on the list mostly based on how he's looked thus far. looks very talented and skilled but still needs to prove it against better comp. i wouldnt have a problem with him not being included just yet

I wouldn't include Ward in any list until he actually beats a world class fighter clean. In my eyes and the eyes of most, not only did he lose to Kovalev, he ran scared and does not have a world class win for 5+ years.
Gervonta Davis is talented but yet to beat a truly top class fighter and from what Mayweather is saying, that will NOT be any time soon.
DG has stagnated and if he is the 8th best fighter from the US then that's real sad.
I really only think there are 3 or 4 genuine world class American fighters:
Mikey Garcia
Terence Crawford
Thurman
Possibly Spence
Possibly Jermall Charlo
Oh and how did you pick LSC? The guy is Mexican, brn there, raised there and he can barely even speak English lol
