...who's win over hatton is better, floyd's or pac's? There are similarities... hatton was undefeated and fighting at a higher weight when he faced floyd, like brook vs ggg. After being knocked out, he moved back down and faced pac...like brook vs spence.
Was Canelo's win over Khan better than Garcia's?
You put a WW in with a MW and he gets stopped easily and you seriously want to give the MW credit?
The Mayweather/Pacquiao win over Hatton is not a fair comparison. Mayweather and Hatton fought a competitive fight but at the end the better man won. Hatton's style was completely wrong for Pacquiao. If Mayweather and Pacquiao fought Hatton five times each who do you think will will have a better chance of getting five victories? I would put my money on the person who is still undefeated.
Ricky Hatton: My depression began after fighting Floyd Mayweather

He said that after the Pac fight, here you go
Hatton wasn't fighting 2 divisions higher, Hatton looked bad against a C level fighter after the Mayweather fight. Mayweather ruined Hatton, he admitted himself he spiralled into depression and contemplated suicide. Pacquiao beat a shell of Hatton.
That was after the Pac fight.
Spence had to show more of his ability and skills to beat Brook, but GGGs is better, or not better as he bloated him up a division. But how GGG beat Brook was better.
Pacs win over hatton was better of course and more convincing.
I disagree. Though Pac got a one punch KO Floyd beating Hatton with a style HATTON WAS UNDEFEATED WITH for his entire career is one of the most masterful performances in the history of the sport.
Brook is a WW. Hatton also had fought and won a world title at WW before fighting Mayweather. This is a lame attempt to try and give Golovkin credit for beating a WW. When Mayweather beat Marquez he didn't get credit, even when Marquez was P4P #2 and went on to KO the P4P #1 at the same weight.
Thank you!! That would have been a MUCH better comparison if JMM had gotten KOd after moving back down. Instead he got the greatest win of his career at THAT SAME WEIGHT CLASS

Hatton was always a **** bum. Mayweather didn't ruin anything. Hatton should have taken the L vs Colalzzo before the Mayweather fight
This is borderline the stupidest thread I've seen all week and there have been a lot of them. Where do I begin:
1. Hatton had fought AND WON A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP at 147.
Brook hadn't even fought at 154
2. Hatton was on the P4P list when Floyd fought him, beat him and took his 0. Brook was just a top fighter IN HIS DIVISION
3. Floyd and Hatton were the same size. Brook and Spence are the same size. GGG was bigger than ALL 4 OF THEM.
4. Why do I keep having to argue against a fighter I like? It's getting really annoying with the idiocy on this board.
I am starting to get why the demographic hates GGG fans so much.
Brook moved up 2 divisions to fight GGG. Widely regarded as a joke fight. GGG was expected to destroy him. We have weight classes for a reason
Bingo!!! This should end the thread right here... ggg should get zero credit for stopping a ww, zero...
In what universe is a MW beating a WW better than a Ww beating a WW?
Brook had no chance to beat ggg. That was a cash grab in exchange for getting ktfo. Against Spence, brook was a much less of an underdog and was given a good chance to win by many.
Both wins were impressive but I think it's more impressive when a young guy wins in his 1st step up against major comp than it is a veteran destroying a huge underdog who came up in weight for a cash grab.
Seeing a lot of people saying spence win over brook is better than ggg's...

... this fight was much more competitive (up to some point)... The GGG fight lacked in "suspense"... :)
Why do you suppose hatton moved back to 140 after beating collazo? Maybe if canelo didn't fight floyd at 152...
You say that like fighters don't ever step up a division for a challenge and come back down.

And if Golovkin beats Canelo, Mayweathers win over Canelo will still be better. :dunce:

Brook is a very big ww who looks to be adversely affected by making weight. I don't care for ggg's win over brook at all...just like pac's win over hatton is better than floyd's.
That Hatton got hurt by Lazcano. He looked good against Paulie because Paulie can't punch for ****.
Put Manny in Floyd's place for the Hatton fight. When Hatton was 43-0 or whatever.
Do you honestly think Hatton would've had a shot at beating Pacquiao?
Hatton wasn't fighting 2 divisions higher, Hatton looked bad against a C level fighter after the Mayweather fight. Mayweather ruined Hatton, he admitted himself he spiralled into depression and contemplated suicide. Pacquiao beat a shell of Hatton.
Dude, shut the f**k up. That "shell" of Hatton was 45-1 and coming off a stoppage win over Paulie. It was like a year and a half later.
Truth is Hatton's style was all wrong for a guy like Pacquiao. Face first defense lacking brawlers were always going to get ravaged by Pacquiao. If Hatton had never fought Floyd and was 46-0 going into a fight with Pacquiao he gets beat down viciously regardless.
Guys...
In a match of 2 fighters.....winner is a winner...
Dont compare it with other fights....
Because every fight or match of such kind has a winner and a loser... :P
