Crawford is an Axe killer man... Just look at his eyes when a fight starts during the intro's. Mofo is a killer
I would do that too of i was facing bums
Idk i have a feeling it would end like Hearns vs Duran.
I don't know man, Manny's not that tall. I'd go with Tyson vs. Bruno or something, and Manny is Tyson.
/sarcasm, but not really, because no way TC is gonna one shot Manny.
Yeah, more and more I think about it, Pac just whoops his ass. I kind of got into hipster mode with my post. Prime Manny would dust him, and current Manny would probably whoop that ass also.

Even current Pacquiao would probably beat Crawford imo.

skimmed through your response, im not a pacquiao fan so not going to give some passionate response lol. just talking garbage though if you think crawfords cv is anywhere near close to pacquiaos. the guy won fighter of the decade. crawfords lucky if he wins fighter of the month.
"fighter of the decade" is POLITICS. how can you be "fighter of the decade" when another fighter in your weight class was UNDEFEATED at the SAME time you were fighting
I'd give TC a very good chance against any verison of Manny. Styles make fights, and Manny's not just gonna run over him like some posters are saying. And everyone knows I'm a Pac fan for life. People bringing up Gambia have to realize, Gambia is a boxing savant of the highest order, and one of Cuba's finest amateur fighters ever. He could give any man in or around his weight class, hell for the first 4-5 rounds, and is slick as hell, master of angles, pivoting, and footwork, and has blazing handspeed with crazy good head movement and defense. Problem is, TC is a super crafty fighter himself, and sets up some of the cleanest traps I've seen in a really long time. The guy has an ability to set you up with a counter punch, and be in position where he has all the leverage he can get into his punch, while you're at your most vulnerable position.
Anyone that's saying Manny walks all over him, and just knocks him out like he's nothing is talking crazy, and going off nostalgia. Remember, TC will have a 3" height advantage, and a 3" reach advantage. The way he fights, that's a huge advantage to have.
I'm not staying TC is the favorite, or even wins, but he gives any version of Manny all he can handle, and then some. And I'm so tired of people acting like he hasn't beaten anyone. TC's faced a bunch of the top guys in boxing, and even beat the other #1 guy at 140. Too many posters suffer from shirt term memory, and the power of hindsight. The guys beaten enough top, world class fighters to see how insanely talented and skilled he is, and if you still think he's unproven, and not a great fighter, you're a legit armchair quarterback, and just talking ****, because you're being a super Pacquaio fanboy.
agreed and knowing pacquiaos resume he has never fought a fighter of this style ever in his career who was in their respective primes theres NO indication that pacquiao would win
see my response to bigdramashow for my full rebuttal
The Pacquiao who almost killed Ricky Hatton would KO Crawford in my opinion. Little Gamboa hurt Crawford and Pacquiao is much better and a much harder puncher than Gamboa. Crawford is bigger. He weighs 157 on fight night while Pacquiao is 145 to 150 on fight night. Pacquiao is a proven all time great to most fans an boxing writers. Crawford isn't there yet at 29 years old. Beating Postol and Gamboa don't make you a winner over a prime Pacquiao
please respond to my response to bigdrama show all the answers are in there
not a pacquiao fan and im not a crawford fan. but youre comparing an 8 weight champion boxing legend whos beaten cotto, morales, barrera, marquez, bradley, hatton, de la hoya, mosley to a guy whos best wins are ricky burns, undersized gamboa and a guy who lost to lamont peterson. can people stop getting carried away with hype and put a fighters opposition into perspective?
easily disputed.
answer me this name me an fighter of that time that was NOT coming off of a LOSS OR was NOT subject to a CATCHWEIGHT or PAST THEIR PRIME..
he was KO'd & TKO'd in his PRIME by a rustico torrecampo AND a medgoen singsurat
and after Zahir Raheem beat erik morales who ALSO BEAT manny pacquiao, pacquiao BLATANTLY ducked Zahir Raheem bc of the "style" of BOXING he displayed manny pacquiao has NEVER faced an ELITE BOXER IN THEIR PRIMES WITHOUT A CATCHWEIGHT OR PAST THEIR PRIMES at THAT time.
he(manny pacquiao was KNOCKED DOWN with a JAB
by a nadal hussein)

this is the QUALITY of fighters manny pacquiao was fighting before he became "world class" and had his career GUIDED in a direction that led him away from tough competition
so you're talkin' about Crawford gettin' hurt by a DYNAMIC PUNCHER and GOLD MEDALIST in Gamboa so what does that say about pacquaios competition who knocked him DOWN & the others who knocked him OUT
The reason Crawford beats Manny now is because Manny is like 8 years past his prime. A prime 135/140 Manny would beat Crawford. Not by KO but would definitely overwhelm him.
Who has crawford fought that is anywhere near the caliber of prime Pacquiao? Threads like this are ridiculous
Would you expect anything less? This message board, God love it, is one of the pound for pound dumbest boards on earth.
Crawford's best wins are against a Gamboa that just got stopped by a 12 loss fighter and a former Pacquiao sparring partner in Viktor Postol. But yeah now he's a lock to blast out any version of Manny Pacquiao
Crawford is still building his resume, he still have a lot to show and to prove. He has a decent resume for someone with his talent and age, Crawford is not 24, he's 29 now so I think it'd be hard for him to have that kind of resume.
With that out of the way, I think in 1 on 1 competition at 140 lbs that Crawford might have a slight advantage, Pacquiao would always have trouble with tall movers because he can't cut the ring off so well and he doesn't have a good jab, Pacquiao is at his best when u r exchanging with him or when u stand in range because he's an aggressive counter puncher by nature, if u r an outside fighter u r gonna give him a lot of trouble.
The blue print was the Shane Mosley fight. Even though Shane lost all rounds, he managed to neutralize Pacquiao by simple foot movements and had Pacquiao lunging in all night and I think a young Crawford with his counter punching abilities, great jab and speed can give Pacquiao all he could handle.
