Well if you look at Crawford resume, only 3 opponents have lasted 12 full rounds with him, that's Burns, Beltran and Postol. And Crawford also hurt them all, or dropped them during their fight. I mean that's freakin impressive!
Floyd also got a huge KO streak early in his career when fighting bums and outclassing them easily.
I don't think there's much of an argument to make about Floyd having as much power as Crawford. Crawford punch are so crisp, with only the eye test and hearing the sound of them you know it hurt. Crawford can throw just one punch and hurt his opponents badly. While floyd was more throwing combos to get some results. Like Floyd, Crawford is also very accurate with his punching. He never seem to waist a punch and he seem to never throw one to get a point, he aim to hurt his opponents or to set them up. Whilst Floyd often punched to gain some points, like jabbing to the body and stuff like that.
Not to take anything away from Mayweather offense, you are right that he had also some good power, specially as Pretty Boy. But, like i've always thought and said that Crawford and Mayweather are at the same level. But i give Crawford a slight edge on offense and Mayweather a slight edge en defense.
i can dig it
bud is more offensively minded, while mayweather is a bit slicker and defensive wiz temperment
personally i think their power is even at 140 and below, just different types of power....Bud's is heavy and thudding whereas Floyd's is sharp and stinging...Bud has more of a mean streak though, like he likes to hurt you lol
kinda like how Julian Jackson and Hearns are reputed punchers have close to even power, but different kind of power....Hearns is speed, sharp, blinding whereas Jackson has that Thud
neither guy has stopped their a lot of their toughest opponents but got the C and B guys out of their
I love Bud. However, I would question whether he would have the speed/experience needed to beat Floyd. Bud takes a few rounds to figure out his opponents, but I get the feeling that he would not be able to figure out Floyd who would make adjustments throughout the fight until Bud stopped throwing. Put Bud up against a couple of top welters first. Then, we can revisit this discussion.
floyd had a similar ko ratio to Bud before he moved to 147 and 154....just saying bro
at 147 and up he was in his 30s just like Bud will be entering soon and his ko ratio will drop as well with weight and age
floyd had a high ko ratio at 130-140 lbs....at 140 he stopped 2/3 opponents and was the first fighter to ever batter Corely like that and drop him several times....this is when Corely was a good solid top ten guy. only lost to Judah and someone else at that point.

You engineer the question to punish Floyd for the cowardly decisions made by others. So no, I can't say anything. I just ask when you ask the question about beating prime atg, ask why they waited to fight Floyd.
Using your logic...
When Merchant asked Floyd about Cotto, Williams, and the welterweight division after the Hatton fight, Floyd said he was going on vacation, and stayed on vacation for 2 years right. He didn't mention anything about hand injuries or nothing right?
When Merchant asked Shane about Floyd after the Vargas fight, Shane actually said the same as Floyd...he planned on going on vacation, said his tooth was loose, etc. You guys use that as facts to say Shane was ducking Floyd (Floyd didn't force Shane to have a toothache. Your words right?)
So using your logic, anybody pimping that vacation/toothache rhetoric to justify Shane being what you call a coward and was ducking Floyd, anybody can use that same vacation rhetoric to prove Floyd is just as big a coward/and even worse ducked a heating up welterweight division....
...and please, one excuse at a time, its easier to digest the chunks that way...
Prime Floyd vs Prime Crawford would be an awsome fight, no doubt. Definitely close. I like Crawford style more, he's more effective than Mayweather ever was with breaking down his opponents. That said, Mayweather is the best ever to win on points. I would say Maywather win a close decision against Crawford, he outpoint him, but Crawford hurt Mayweather way more than he get hurt.

Lol...I have no facts.
Floyd don't have 1 atg prime guy for a win on his resume. That is a stone cold fact. And what will you, Larry, and that realpukalist say?...Oh but he beat more champions. Da f**k does that have to do with the price of tea in China. Get my drift? Perfect example here that has happened here time and again and you know it. Cats can slap you in the face with facts all day, you boys just either twist it to favor Floyd, or if you can't do that, dismiss it.

No, it's you who twist things. Yet in other cases you go to the simplest and most logical answer. But with Floyd you come up with terms like roadblocks-which conveniently gives cover for cowards.
...and you can't get off these nuts obviously....
a lot of the stuff I say has been said by other people on here as well....i guess everybody who isn't a floyd lifelong dickrider is just a hater....
bwhahahahahahahaha you dont know shyt about boxing keep up the good work :poke:

Thats why I just give my opinion and be done with it.
No, you have no facts. you have only your opinion. As you stated you don't care about the facts (you called it what guys did or didn't do) and don't factor them into your opinion. I think that is always a problem. Everyone can have an opinion, but the opinion should at least be an educated one.

call me what you want, you still cant refute anything i've said
calling the kettle black lol....you've made a career out of dickriding or being a detractor to certain guys even if they are more or less accomplished or skilled
if you got out your feelings, and off of boxrec and watch the fights, youd have more knowledge of the game........:loser:

I dont know why you have a special filter when Floyd is the subject of the discussion. You absolutely are using decisions made by people to evaluate Floyd's legacy. If you say you do this with other fighters as well, so be it. I think that is utterly retarded but to each his own.
I do it because what you and most Floyd boys call facts, I see as lame excuses.
No, you have no facts. you have only your opinion. As you stated you don't care about the facts (you called it what guys did or didn't do) and don't factor them into your opinion. I think that is always a problem. Everyone can have an opinion, but the opinion should at least be an educated one.
The problem here is, and this ain't nothing new, non biased Floyd ppl pull up facts on you dudes every day. For the longest. You just don't acknowledge or respect it if it doesn't favor Floyd. You normally totally dismiss it, especially when you can't come up with some grand excuse that favors Floyd. So what you think is gonna happen. Dudes are going to just give their opinion and be done with it, because they already know you Floyd boys are going to dismiss it, even if the opinion supported with facts from the rip. So if you have a problem with it, think its utterly retarded, tough titty man.
I only asked because Diaz ihas not shown elite skill and has not been that great a pro. Most of his fights at 140 have been against journeymen and low level pros. I did think he got robbed against Petersen but that was a WW fight not JWW.
Cool I trust my eye test of Crawford.
Floyds undefeated record inflates him, the fact is he has never fought a prime hof type fighter, let alone a guy as long or longer, faster, athletic and that can truely box. It is what it is, and I thought he was barely outboxing pacquiao and just edged it on his length. If you want to see a guy legit outsmart a guy, no special effects (speed/flashiness) look at what marquez does to pacquiao in the third fight when pacquiao is trying to box. He psychs him out.
Gist of it, I think Crawford stands a great chance in outboxing and outpointing Floyd, but Mayweather will undoubtedly have his moments. I just think Crawford matches him just about everywhere physically and actually goes beyond by being the longer and more powerful fighter and thats when I think the seperation begins to show, late in the fight when both have rained leather on each other, the guy being hit the hardest will be more worn out.

What sentiments? I'm fine if you don't like Floyd. But judging a legacy using another mans decisons and actions has nothing to do with Floyd.
Why does everything have to be based on whether I like Floyd? I'm just giving my opinion just like everybody else on here, and I'm not using another man's decisions, floyd just didn't fight 'em, or the timeline went past the due date. I'm not getting into what guys did or didn't do because all that is speculative, and mainly biased depending on who you favor.
That you would be ok with that just because it's Floyd we are discussing speaks volumes.
I do that for anybody, not just Floyd. That's why you dudes are so sensitive. Roy Jones missed a lot of the UK guys @ 168. The Gman. Ppl say he fought a ton of cab drivers and civil service workers. You think that don't hurt him legacy-wise?
You think ppl are just picking on Mayweather because they ain't got nothing else better to do. If I say Crawford is the kind of dude that Floyd would most likely try to wait out, you best believe I have good facts to back that up.
Diaz hasn't even been a beltholder at the pro level. He may be an Olympic gold medalist but that doesn't matter in the pros. Corley is the better pro. Besides, Diaz is no where near as skilled as prime Floyd.
Your opinion is fine, the reasoning doesn't make much sense.
Again, who said Diaz is as skilled as Floyd? That's not the point at all. The point is, Crawford handled Diaz in such a way that suggests to me he could handle anybody from previous eras at that weight. Floyd, Pernell, Zab. I give him that much respect. Now if his career don't pan out the way it looks like it will then I stand to be corrected.

I agree bro.
Everyone was riding Pac's nuts back then aswell. Especially HBO. Bookies always had Floyd favorite.
Imo only guy I saw with the best chance of beating Floyd was a prime Mosley @ 135-147 in 1998-2003
They fought too late for Mosley.
Anyone with a brain saw Manny struggle with boxers with less talent boxing like Bradley, JMM, morales, , and didn't fight guys like zahir raheem, or guys who relied on boxing n being sharp. He fought a lot of flat footed guys
Mayweather was all wrong ...could match him as an athlete and a quicker mind and ring IQ
