Mayweather in this video link discusses McGregor signing and says that he is most likely going to fight as well.
Looks like Mayweather-McGregor is going to happen.
The Nevada Athletic Commission have confirmed they will approve the proposed super-fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather if they are asked to.
But which governing bodies will sanction the fight?
International Boxing Federation (IBF)
World Boxing Association (WBA)
World Boxing Council (WBC)
World Boxing Organization (WBO)
I say this because Rocky Marciano Retired undefeated (49-0) same as Floyd's record.
Conor McGregor is not a Boxer but an MMA fighter!
This fight needs to be treated like Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki. ... Inoki, who had been taught the art of catch wrestling by legendary wrestler Karl Gotch, was staging exhibition fights against champions of various martial arts, in an attempt to show that pro wrestling was the dominant fighting discipline.
Rocky Marciano has long ago earned that right!
I don't think any sanctioning body needs to be involved. Just NSAC.
But if I had to guess on which sanctioning body would most likely get involved with a made up belt or something. It would be the WBC. Lol

Marcianos 50 record is all BS, it was broken by Ricardo Lopez who went 51-0 in the 90s Lopez also ties Louis 20 title defenses .
I think Chavez was 87-0 at one point, I don't get the big deal about Rockys 49-0.

The UFC and McGregor may have settled on how they are going to split the money heading their way, but Floyd has yet to offer the UFC a split of any money (and Floyd has made it clear that he's only even going to consider the fight if his guarantee on the fight is $100m).
Kevin Iole has an article up about the realities of how far away the realization of the fight actually is; should check it out.
