Interesting to see how the nest 1-3 years play out.
Will wilder just avoid jshua and pretend he's not there having a solo career.
Will haymon feed wilder to the destroyer?
With you on your thoughts about Klitschko but let's be honest a prime version of him would have closed the show on 29th..
He seemed too tired by the 11th and though the stoppage was a little premature Wlad looked like was too tired to hold and ward the barrage off.. But as he said, no excuses..
AJ-Wilder needs to happen in 2018 we'll both are still in their prime, I was referring to normal wait times not Arum/GBP type marinating.. Heck there are not many good opponents to fight if not the top 5 and if Fury comes back then it adds another dimension..
A prime Klitschko would have done better, I agree.
Joshua still is developing, we don't know what his prime is yet or if we've seen his best already. I'm pretty sure he will improve and get better and we'll see what he can do.
In the meantime we will see what develops between Joshua, Wilder, Klitschko, Ortiz, Parker and Miller.
Wade came after Herschman left and Nelson took over. See, you still doing this. You still refuse to acknowledge there was a ban on HBO fighters just so you can claim Wilder could've fought Klitschko when that's not true. When Wade fought on HBO that's when people knew Nelson wouldn't uphold the ban. You gonna keep twisting and turning until you can find a way to blame Haymon and Wilder for HBO banning them.
Twisting what? Lol.....He wasn't going to fight Klitschko or Ortiz whichever way you choose to Spin it. He even said it himself that he wouldn't fight Ortiz and this was earlier this year, when did Ortiz leave GoldenBoy?? His team said he was not ready for Klitschko.... you guys want us to credit Wilder for calling guys out but ignore when he turns guys down.
Wilder should hire you as part of his PR team, you'd do a good job convincing people that he actually wants to fight the best.... as for me I'll believe it when I see him fighting those guys.
Wlad has been signed to HBO for years. He signed an extension after the Jennings fight which means he was already signed with them. HBO was showing Wlad's fights before Jennings. They showed the Pulev & Povetkin fights. Your making up lies and refusing to acknowledge facts.
HBO was not dealing with Haymon fighters.

Herschman wasn't even taking phone calls from Schaefer or Haymon but you say HBO would've made the fight. How? What info do you have that Schaefer and Haymon didn't have?

Your hate for Wilder has caused you to ignore facts and to make up lies
I stand corrected on Wlad's relationship with HBO....
However HBO lifted the Haymon ban for Dominic Wade to fight Golovkin but they wouldn't lift it for Deontay Wilder to fight Klitschko??
I don't hate Wilder, what I said about him are straight facts, his resume is garbage and it's matched by his non existent skill set. My casual friends that only watch boxing once in a while have all said he looks terrible and wonder why Joshua should bother with him, I told them it's because he has a belt and it would be a big event as it's a unification. That's the only reason he is relevant.
The question is why you seem willing to defend him at all costs, tell me I've got it all wrong and it's not cause he's one of "your own".
I don't even think he was calling Shannon out :lol1: think he was just saying it as in 'shannon i did it' they seem to be mates.
Yea...i thought it was more of a shout out.
He's not a fan of Wilder. He's a fan of the skin color. You're wasting your time, mate.
I absolutely laugh my butt off when I see well known Golovkin detractors running to Wilder's defence, easiest way to spot biased posters on here bar none.
What does HBO have to do with Wlad fighting Wilder??? They weren't airing any of Wlads fights until Jennings at that time so why would that have been a problem?? Would HBO really turn down the chance to air a full heavyweight unification for all the titles. I thought the HBO not working with Haymon was a myth or does that only apply when it's Golovkin.
Let's see who he fights next, no doubt if it's another guy most people have never heard you'll be front and centre with a load of excuses like you usually do.
You Wilder fanboys are as delusional as you are gullible.

The reason Ortiz left Golden Boy is because they wouldn't let him fight Wilder. That's on record under sworn testimony. So you full of sh*t. Yes he did say he's not fighting Ortiz because of the steroid issue after having his time wasted for a year by a steroid cheat. He said that out of frustration. Just like he said the same about Povetkin before he signed to fight him and people thought he wouldn't fight him.
When was Wlad available to fight Wilder? When HBO had an active ban on Haymon fighters. Funny how y'all don't remember stuff like that. But of course Wilder gets the blame for not fighting a fighter on a network he's banned from.
Arum has proven for 50 years in business that he won't let his A-line fighters fight in 50/50 fights outside Top Rank. But when that Wilder/Parker fight doesn't happen and Parker is fighting Ruiz again I'm sure Wilder will get blamed.

Avoid? Pretend?
Wilder flew out there and Joshua didn't even say a word. Instead he called out a semi retired fighter and one that should be in a senior citizen home.
If it was offered, I'm sure Wilder would fight Joshua in October and has already said he will fight Parker next, I havent heard Hearns saying they want Parker for Joshua?
Either Joshua or Wilder should unify against Parker, doesn't matter who, sometime this year.
Next spring whichever two are left to unify all the titles.
Povetkin was afraid to fight Wilder. I don't believe Parker really wants to fight Wilder. He will talk about wanting to fight Joshua but wont this year and instead of fighting Wilder the next best high profile fight it will be some bum.
The great thing about the heavyweight division is nobody looks like they're clearly the best, I think Luis Ortiz has that image of him where he looks like a guy who can hold himself well in a fight without looking absolutely chinny like Anthony looked, then we have Wilder who has been outboxed several times before finding that one punch, Fury who was knocked down hard by guys way smaller than him.
I definitely want to see Luis Ortiz Vs. Parker/AJ/Wilder, I think he has earned a shot at one of them.
When has he had an opportunity to fight the top names? He didn't have an opportunity to fight Wlad, he was tied up with Fury. Parker was chasing and got that WBO belt. It came out in court that Golden Boy wouldn't let Ortiz fight Wilder. Last year Hearn said the Wilder fight was 18 months away and after Saturday he's still saying the fight needs to be built. And Povetkin wasted a year of Wilder's time with delays and ultimately the failed drug test. He just called out Parker and no response from his team. Parker is with Arum, he's not about to let him fight Wilder. He'll be fighting Andy Ruiz again.
His resume isn't great but let's not act like he's turned down fights against the best out there.
His resume is steamy garbage for someone who has being a pro for 8 years with nearly 40 fights. Wilder could have fought Wlad before he lost to Fury if he really wanted to but as I recall his team said he wasn't ready. As far as Ortiz goes, Wilder basically said he wouldn't fight him because he failed a test in the past... the article was here on BS so its not like if Golden Boy stepped aside that Wilder would fight him.
Wilder has not blatantly turned down any big names but the fact is he hasn't fought them either, there's always an excuse for this man when he lines up the next subpar opponent.
This year we'll find out what he's really about, if anyone is turning him down then come out and say it in the interviews.... lets see who doesn't want to fight. I agree it was weird and disappointing for AJ not to call him out, Fury is a long way away from getting back into contention.
But that's the thing, he'll say the right things and then sign up to fight someone like Warzwyk or whatever that guys name was..... all he does is talk but his actions and opponent selection up until this point have generally left entirely too much to be desired.
That's because the other guys don't want to fight him. I don't know what it is but the other champs couldn't care less about unifying with him it seems. The Warzwyk fight was coming off an injury so while I thought it was a garbage choice I wasn't that mad with it. I blame Wilder for all of his opponent selection but I'm still not gonna act like the other champs have been active or even trying to get in the ring with him. Heck, Joshua just called out a fat Fury who hasn't fought in going on 2 years soon instead of mentioning Wilder.
Im really past caring about anything DW has to say he switches who he wants to fight that often.
In the last week alone its been Parker, then Bellew and now AJ. I block his incessant noise out and seek solace in the fact that whomever he goes up against at some point he'll get absolutely exposed by anyone with even an ounce of technical ability and an able defense.
For my own pleasure, it'd be preferable if he got chinned by someone in his own orgs top 5 who didnt give him a ****ing huge payday.
Let him carry on at showtime with his bad ratings, absolutely null PPV drawing power and small purses in comparison to others and fight a free to watch and get resoundingly boxed to dust.
inb4 I'm racist
He's even been trying to get the Parker fight. Called him out as soon as his last opponent pulled out and even before then. I'm not big on Wilder but he seems like he wants those fights, the other champs seem as if they would rather fight each other then step in the ring with Wilder

you do realize Wilder has called AJ out and AJ admitted he needed a few more fights before he took on Wilder right?

I have yet to see Wilder do anything that would make me believe he can beat AJ, I think if Wilder was there Sat night he would have lost. Wilder has looked like crap last cpl fights
